Hello everyone!
I have played my first 'long-play' game of VtES, on wich both
remaining players (I was *not* one of them, though...) fought each other
untill they had almost no cards on their hands (about 4 each).
On this game something funny happened:
- One of the players brings out Victoria (Malk, "If Victoria is
ready during your master phase, you may forfeit the edge to gain 2 pool).
Vic's controller has the edge at the moment.
The other player bleeds Vic's controller in a way that the victim will
be ousted *unless* he forfeits the edge and gains the 2 pool.
Question is this: Is this possible? Can one use a vamp's ability
outside one's turn even if the description does not specify the timing?
(more specifically, can Victoria burn the edge to gain the pool on
someone else's turn?)
It was 'ruled' that yes, that will be possible. The other player
didn't like it much, especially because the victim said "Ok, I take the
bleed and burn the edge to gain 2 pool" (instead of "I burn the edge to
gain 2 pool and *now* I take the bleed"), but we just said that it was
just a slip of the tongue, and all went by. The bleeder lost the game
shortly afterwards, wich didn't help to calm him down :))
I would thank you a lot for any replies. If you would be ever so
kind to reply to me directly... :)
