arnhem, short unoffical report :)

well i was there last saterday and i must say it was a very intersting tournament wich had some strange truns for me :) to bad i got screwed in teh finals whit the seating order... i played a toreador anti vote deck and i had to start whit 1 transfer, but my predator played z valley 2 turns in a row and had out 2 cardinals in no time... on top of that my prey opened whit a priscus lol... anyways i'm sure there will be a more detailed report here soon from someone... Tobias won teh tournament whit his brain eating giovanie (or maybe he played the shambling hordes faction? ) i came in second whit toreador anti not sure who was third since no other players got vp's in the final...

I came out fourth remember, because I tapped my vamp to get an ivory bow instead of bleeding for one more and thereby I should have ousted you. But it was fun. The 2 cardinals , lambach and the flayer, were tricky but a vampiric disease and a lot of patience did the job. btw I did NOT have a S/B-deck, it was a Sneak and pool gain deck. So don't trust all that is written in the touranment report. Oortje

Yeah, well i got my place in a not completely legal manner... I played a all-aabt-anarch-political-deck, but i forgot to read the exact text from the feestakes....only for 5caps and up...I was allready winning the first table when one of the spectators asked why one of my 4-cap-Aabts was a Baron... My deck was built with the stunning amount of 3 masterskillcards... So the judge gave me a warning not to do it again and removed the 2 feestakes that were illegaly played, but i still took the table, which was too bad as otherwise i really had to battle for it (still would have had a chance though) As my decks only way of dealing damage was with votes and i could only play 1 feestake in the next game, (lack of presence masters) and one firebrand, the only thing i could do was stay alive with the Anarch hunting machine...this worked ofcourse, but wasn't very effective in ousting....(especially with a 12-vote-pact against me on the table) so the table went through time despite my efforts to make a deal with one (either) of the pact guys... I didn't feel my deck was worth playing the finals with, because 1) I got a TW handed to me, because i played illegally, and 2) my deck wouldn't stand a chance with only 3 skill cards... W

The reason for this was the fact that he misread the Feestake cards and made aabbt kindreds barons. This wasn't noticed after he got this far. So he decided not to play the final.
