Storyline Vienna was a great success with about 40 players from 6 different European domains. :) There have been all kinds of decks, Setites had a strong following, there had been Ravnos (with Week of Nightmares), !Tremere with Goratrix and Etrius, and lot of other "special guests". :) 3 Rounds were played, and the top ranked player had 2 Gamewins, the 5th player had still 1 GW and 6.5 VPs. A lot of games went to the time limit and therefore some tables had no GW. Here are the finalists: 1. Martin Sykora, Eurobrujah (2 GW, 8 VP) 2. Niki Frank, Malkavian /w Toreador Intercept (2, 7.5) 3. Milan Durkovic, Malk S&B (1, 7) 4. Roland Wetzl, Setite Temptation (1, 6.5) 5. Sascha Holdmann, Bru /w !Bru Torporization (1, 6.5) Seating order: Setites(Roland)->Malkavian/Tor(Niki)->Eurobrujah(Martin)->Brujah(Sascha)-> ->Malkavians(Milan) Roland brought out Hesha, Martin Donal O'Connor, Sascha Richter and Milan Gilbert Duane. Roland then went on and put a Temptation on his predator's Roland Bishop, while Niki put an Art Museum in play. Martin strengthend his postion by bringing Constanza Vinti. Sascha began hostilities by bleeding Milan with a Legal Manipulation played by Richter, which promptly got deflected to Roland who payed the 3 pool. Milan bled away at Roland, and Roland retaliated by playing another Temptation on Gilbert Duane. On his next turn, Martin played an Anathema on Sascha's Black Cat with Constanza and brought Volker. Sascha played a Fame on Gilbert Duane and bums rushed him with Richter who consequently torporized him. Milan tried his best and bled Roland down to 3 pool and brought Greger Andersen. Roland's Aabt Kindred diablerized then Gilbert and then vanished during the Bloodhunt... All the while Niki stayed put and brrought the occasional .44 Magnum, Rack and Palatial Estate with his small minions. Martin now executed his clever strategy and attacked the Anathema Black Cat with Constanza, brought her to 0 blood and burned her, gaining himself another 5 pool. Sascha was not deterred and focussed on his Malkavian S&B prey. He attacked Greger with Richter and sent him to Torpor. With his last vampire, Milan ousted Roland with a Foreshadowing Destruction. Again Martins turn, Constanza moved in for a bleed of 6, as Sascha played Archon Investigation and burned her. Stunned silence. Richter then ambushed Roland Bishop, but couldn't quite get the grip on him. He played 7 Flashes and Vampiric Speeds in a row, just to cycle cards. He then got the Pursuit he needed and hit Roland for 4. Milan then brought out Gilbert again on his turn. :) Martin's Don Cruez attempted a 5th Tradition but got blocked by Niki's Dorian Strack. In the ensuing combat Don Cruez played Torn Signpost and a Burning Wrath, resulting in poor Dorian being burned to a crisp. Sascha, seeing his impending demise still attacked again with Richter and brought Gilbert down to 1 blood, while sending himself to Torpor. Niki tried to stop his prey Martin from finishing off Sascha by rescuing Sascha's Richter and Rigby from Torpor. Martin, who at that point already had out Don Cruez, Volker, Donal and Jimmy Dunn finfishes off Sascha with a Conditioning, despite a really good combat between Richter and Donal where both displayed their celerity and potence. :) He then played another Anathema on Niki's Victoria and steamrolled over Milan's last remaining pool. On his next turned Martin played Haven Uncovered on Victoria and burned her with the Anathema on her. With a very aesthetic finishing move, he brought a Carthage Remembered and bled Niki dry with a Conditioning. So the Eurobrujah get to take Baltimore! Hurrah! :) Decklist: Crypt: 3 Donal O'Connor 3 Constanza Vinti 2 Don Cruez, the Idealist 2 Volker, the Puppet Prince 2 Jimmy Dunn Library: 3 Carthage Remembered 4 Miniontap 5 Haven Uncovered 2 Dreams of the Sphinx 1 Powerbase: Montreal 3 Conditioning 5 5th Tradition 8 Govern the Unaligned 3 Anathema 5 Deflection 9 2nd Tradition 4 Sideslip 5 Blur 7 Immortal Grapple 4 Burning Wrath 4 Taste of Vitae 8 Pursuit 9 Torn Signpost

Did his opponent have a lot of presses/manuevers in return? How did he cycle them all? Nice tourney report. Thanks! Halcyan 2

More likely he took temporary control of Gilbert via the Temptation that he had played earlier (making the subsequent diablerie an undirected action at +1 stealth). > >He played 7 Flashes and Vampiric Speeds in a row, just to > >cycle cards. > > ? Not necessarily all in one round - manuever (flash), dodge (VSpeed), press (with the former Vspeed or flash or with a new flash), repeat. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Yes, that's correct. Sorry I left that out, of course Gilbert was taken over and then it was an undirected action. :) > > > >He played 7 Flashes and Vampiric Speeds in a row, just to > > >cycle cards. > > > > ? Right, he didn't play them all in *one* round, rather over the course of 7 rounds. :) Thanks for reading the report. Carl
