I was recently the victim of a fairly interesting tactic: 1. Bring out Malkavian vampire with capacity 3 or 4. 2. Play Fame on said Malkavian during master phase. 3. Play Rack on same vampire.. 4. Bring out Muddled Vampire Hunter. 5. Hit Malk with MVH; he or she goes into torpor, prey loses three blood. 6. Next turn, use rack to give blood to get out of torpor, then hit 'em with the MVH again...continue until prey is dead. --Christopher Woodfield - Rek...@aol.com ----------------------------------------------------------- "I will not torment the emotionally frail...I will not torment the emotionally frail..."

Is there a ruling on that? -AWOL

This works better with a Tremere and a Chantry you can put the vamp into torpor and take him outagain before your enemies get a chance to diablerize. -- _____________________________________________________________________________ Ted Cabeen cab...@netcom.com Finger for PGP Public Key 7312...@compuserve.com "Be Yourself" cococ...@aol.com

Yup. Good defenses against this strategy: - Steal the Rack - Bum's Rush the MVH with any Brujah or Toreador that can dodge the first strike and get a second - If your opponent is using a Chantry (or any other overly useful location :-), use Arson or Rampage to take out the place, or Disputed Territory to steal it - Oust your opponent ;-) papillo the reptilian

You can never enter combat with another Minion under your own control. (Ruling from Tom, if common sense isn't enough) rho...@hamilton.edu (Harpua J. The only strikes that you can't dodge are "combat ends" and additional strikes where you don't have additional strikes to match. And since you don't need to dodge a "combat ends" strike, you can effectively dodge "any" one strike including a "first strike". And for each additional strike that you have, you can dodge one more. This is assuming that you have enough dodge cars of course. --------- Paul Schaaf sch...@u.washington.edu On 17 Feb 1995, Harpua J.
