(LSJ) Aura Reading and Masque of Judas

When Aura reading is played and you can see the other Methuselah's hand can you choose which cards you discard with Masque of Judas or do you have to shuffle and discard "blindly"? Sathriel

Just because you might normally allow another player to choose from the affected player's hand in a way that's random when he can't see the fronts of the cards doesn't mean the same method should be used with fronts displayed when that player is suffering from Aura Reading, Revelations, Owl Companion, or the like. Card text says "random" so some random system of selecting the Masque discards is still used. You could also throw dice, for instance - whether the cards are displayed or not. But allowing his opponent to select the cards when displayed face up is certainly not random. Fred
