Last night I playtested a deck that did most things pretty poorly, but
it was able to burn four minions using the same card combo;
Enter combat from a blocked action...
Dawn Operation(Sup), Skin of Night, Weather Control, Amaranth, Ritual
of the Bitter Rose...
Thanks to LSJ for the lead on this nasty, pre maneuver, burn a vamp
with impunity ridiculousness...
The problem with it, as I see it, is that it takes 5 out of seven
slots in your hand to set up. I had to be very patient, and get very
high card flow (Barrens, Dreams and a Fragment..) That slowed down
the taking of actions. The other problem was the simple option of my
prey opting to not block my actions (thus hand jam) I tried to
anticipate this with a healthy number of Governed bleeds, but again
ran into hand jam. Perhaps some permanent bleed modifiers (Laptops,
Pulse of the Canaille...) but I can't use retainers, as the first
Weather Control will kack them off right quick. Any thoughts or
insights would be appreciated... It is a Tremere and odd Gangrel Deck
(Iliana, Raven, Badger). Superior Fortitude is readily available, as
is Dominate and Thaumaturgy. Auspex is less often seen, and I'd
rather avoid it and Protean, if at all possible, to avoid defocusing
the deck's original concept, as goofy as it is.

Hmm. Try dropping the Amaranth/Rituals; either Graverob the vampires in
torpor or have Muaziz diablerize them. This should make it easier to get
the cards you need in your hand. If you can get out Merril with Fortitude,
you don't need to actually have a Skin of Night in your hand, but I don't
know if that's worth the trouble.

It's all about Talaq The Immortal, can use Thaumaturgy and doesn't take the
damage from burst of sunlight. Otherwise you can use a couple of flak jackets
to prevent the damage from the bursts.

The same sort of thing goes with Shadow Court Satyr as well. Have a few
in the deck of each of the following:
S C Satyr
Burst of Sunlight
Flak Jacket
Now that is pretty funny
And you can do it again and again and again.

With a very slight alteration you will get them to block.
Consider using Ravnos instead of Gangrel/Tremere. Use
Sensory Deprivation to get them to block. Damned if they
do, damned if they don't. Instead of Weather Control use
Drawing out the Beast which also delivers a point of
unpreventable damage at the end of the round.

I was playing this combo about a year ago, and also found it very effective. About
the hand jam, you don't really need all five cards, just the Dawn Op, Skin and
Weather control. When they're in torpor, you have a perfect opportunity for
diablerizing, or using Graverobbing (say, after a Freak Drive). Graverobbing is
really perfect, because the vampire you're taking will most likely be almost full of
blood. If you're prey does block, you get to use the combo again.
As long as you're using Gangrel, Stanislava may work well, She has the dominate, and
the built in +2 bleed is excellent for getting blocked, or killing someone after
their vampires are gone. She also allows you to play Absolution of the Diabolist
when you diablerize.
Good Luck, there's nothing more fun that unpreventable aggrevated damage before
anyone has a chance to use Elysium. (Just watch out for Rotschreck)

Hmmm... when playing a few weeks ago, the other guys at the table felt that a
leather jacket would not prevent the damage you personally take from the Burst
of Sunlight, since that, they ruled, was environmental. That the "prevent all
damage from one strike" meant the strike from the other minion. If they were
wrong, I may have to look for some more jackets.

Yes, the three-card combo is still pretty deadly. I should also mention
that you cannot be Rotschrecked with the combo. The Weather Control is
environmental damage.
I have a similar combo you might enjoy. Also three cards. Dawn
Operation, Drawing Out The Beast, Form of Mist (or any combat ends is
almost as good). Say you do a Govern Bleed. The opposing minion blocks
and you play a Dawn Op and refuse to let 'em back out. Then you Form of
Mist and continue at +1 stealth while they take an unpreventable
aggravated damage. I find this combo superior to the Weather Control
version in that your action goes through whether or not they block. Your
opponents will not block as often if they know that your action will be
successful no matter what. The downside is that the opponent has the
opportunity to play an immortal grapple or use the Elysium.

"Flak Jacket" is not the same as "Leather Jacket".
The former can prevent the self-damage from BoS, the latter cannot.

Unfortunately, they are right (and this goes for things like Grenade
damage to you and Bomb damage to you). but Flak Jackets and that piece
of Ancient Hearts equipment which you can burn to prevent two both still
work since they just prevent damage and don't care about the source.

You are sure that the Dawn Operation carries over the Combat Ends?
Card Text states:
" If the acting vampire is blocked, all damage inflicted to all vampires
in the resulting combat is aggravated. "
The damage from Drawing out the Beast is applied OUTSIDE of combat.
It should be 1 normal nonaggravated damage dealt AFTER the aggro-damage
dealt INSIDE of combat.

Drawing Out the Beast's damage occurs at the end of each round,
regardless of how the round is ending. ("At the end", since there
is no "between round" area to deal damage in - errata).
