Primal Instincts [aus] Strike: dodge. [AUS] Only usable by the acting vampire after the opposing minion has chosen his or her strike. Cancel this acting vampire's strike and choose a new one. Let's pretend Vamp A is acting. Vamp B has 1 strength damage and a .44 Magnum. Vamp A is in combat with Vamp B. Vamp A plays strike: combat ends. Vamp B doesn't bother striking as he thinks combat will end anyway. Vamp A plays SUP Primal Instincts and wants to use another strike(maybe poke for 1 agg). Here are the questions: Would it be required to ask Vamp B which strike he uses before Vamp A can use P.I.? If not and if Vamp B didn't declare a strike, would he a) use his hand strike? b) use his Magnum? c) could he choose? d) anything else ... Thanx. Alf Behrends VEKN Prince of Braunschweig Germany

Not true. B must declare a strike. > Vamp A plays SUP Primal Instincts and wants to use > another strike(maybe poke for 1 agg). > > Here are the questions: > > Would it be required to ask Vamp B which strike > he uses before Vamp A can use P.I.? Yes, by explicit card text. > If not and if Vamp B didn't declare a strike, > would he > a) use his hand strike? > b) use his Magnum? > c) could he choose? > d) anything else ... Moot. Yes. You'll always chose your strike (barring Hidden Lurker et al), even if it doesn't resolve. > If not and if Vamp B didn't declare a strike, > would he > a) use his hand strike? > b) use his Magnum? > c) could he choose? > d) anything else ... If he didn't declare any strike (common, in practice) it is assumed he chose his default strike (hands). Flux
