(assuming you hit) Each of Undead Strength, Growing Fury, and Lucky Blow are strikes. You can only use one. (Even with celerity-induced multiple strikes, the first one that landed would send the opposition to torpor before any further strikes connect.) Max damage=6 agg. (Torn Signpost and Growing Fury). Respectable, but not as daunting as 11agg. L.Scott

In article <3i2686$5...@redwood.cs.scarolina.edu>, [ quoted text not captured ] I just thought I'd chime in here for no reason... My fave vamp burner is the renegade garou + pulled fangs -- just beat on the poor sot until you do him enough damage to go into torpor (not hard... and lucky blows will make it quicker) then rip out his fangs for the coup de grace. Brujah with their celerity and potence/weapons can often beat him though. Andrew

Sengir Dagger isn't a hand strike, so only growing fury would help. Better would be a Protean master card plus Claws of the Dead, which would work as above. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

Also, a previous poster was confused about my 9 damage strike. Torn signpost gives you three hand damage for the remainder of combat, Fists of death give you +2 hand damage for the remainder of combat, so yes you do strike for six on the first round, but then you growing fury on the second round, and strike for 9 more, Neither Rake's special ability, nor Torn signpost, nor Fists of death( POW! POW!) go away after first round. You might be right about the dagger though, it's in the mail:). Larrx...

Also, a previous No, the card text says that any card that gives additional damage is also aggravated. But you have to be doing that damage in the same strike as the dagger's strike (which is a melee weapon). | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "Carnivores, oy!" -- Timon, TLK

[ quoted text not captured ] ...blah blah blah. So how does this work against the vamps with superior Presence and a hoard of Majesty cards! ***Guy***

Harpua

[ quoted text not captured ] well, if you ever read the original post, you'd also notice that i said that this is easily defeated. i noted Majesty and dodge as two examples. this was only a suggestion and a humorous story at first. secondly, it's a pain in the ass to have all those cards in your hand at the same time anyway. First, the sengir dagger reads "if any card adds additional damage, this too is aggravated" or something very similar. Second, the oppenent would not be in torpor, because using equipment is optional, and you would opt not to strike with it first round. I mention this earlier if you had thought to read all the posts. Larrx... Oh, and this is not an example of a good tactic, some one was discussing what the MAXIMUM POTENTIAL DAMAGE was, I'm not suggesting you try this at home.

la...@bu.edu (Larry Harriman) writes: >The sengir dagger reads "if any card adds additional damage, this too >is aggravated" or something very similar. Indeed it does. But the Sengir Dagger is a melee weapon, and card that affect only hand damage don't affect it. Torn Signpost and Fists of Death affect hand damage, not melee damage. Max damage with Sengir is 4 (with Growing Fury). Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

Harpua- the original poster. "ok, so i was wrong about 11 agg. damage, but i was close"

"ok, so i was wrong about 11 agg. damage, : but i was close" Four cards is pretty good, but, unfortunately, it takes Basilia. How about, instead- Stick a flamethrower on a Muddled and play weakness. 3 Cards, admittedly, one is a masterphase card, but, this combo costs no transfers, less blood, and in one instance you get, joy of joys, Basilia, and, in the other, you get a Flame Throwing muddled vampire hunter <grin!>. -Gha...@Uclink.Berkeley.Edu

Weakness? What card did you really mean? [ quoted text not captured ]
