Koko (pot) has a Leather Jacket and did enter combat with Raven (FOR). Both are poking for one damage. Koko wants to burn the Leather Jacket and play Pulled Fangs and/or Disarm if Raven doesn't prevent the one damage. Who has to prevent damage first? Can Raven wait for Koko to burn the Leather Jacket before deciding to prevent, as she might now fear for her arm or teeth? What if Koko had blocked Raven? Would Raven have to decide first wether to prevent or not, without knowing what Koko will do or would she get another opportunity after Koko burned her Leather Jacket? "Sequencing: If two or more players want to play a card or effect, the acting Methuselah plays first. At every stage, the acting player always has the opportunity to play the next card or effect. So after playing one effect, she may play another and another. Once she is finished, the opportunity passes to the defending Methuselah (in the cases of directed actions and combat), then to the rest of the Methuselahs in clockwise order from the acting Methuselah. Note that if any card or effect is used by any Methuselah, the acting Methuselah again gets the opportunity to play the next effect." [1.6.1.6] >Can Raven wait for Koko to burn the Leather Jacket before >deciding to prevent, as she might now fear for her arm or teeth? Yes. Koko is actor, Koko must go first. If Koko says "No thanks" *and* Raven says "No thanks", Koko can't go back and change its mind. If Raven were to prevent, Koko would then get an opportunity to play the next effect. (Final sentence.) This could be burning hers. Imagine a situation with Koko vs Jimmy Dunn, say, where *both* could be playing Disarm, depending upon who prevents what. >What if Koko had blocked Raven? Would Raven have to >decide first wether to prevent or not, Yes. >without knowing what Koko >will do or would she get another opportunity after Koko burned >her Leather Jacket? If Koko burned its leather jacket, Raven would get an opportunity to sequence another effect (e.g. playing Skin of Rock). -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D And if it's all right, I'd kind've like to be your lover EBD690ECD7A1F 'Cause when you're with me I can't help but be B457CA213D7E6 So desperately, uncontrollably happy 68C3695D623D5D
