The latest puzzler (which went up on my web site last month) was apparently more difficult thatn the previous puzzlers which have appeared in this newsgroup (or simply failed to attract as much readership as the newsgroup). At any rate - it is still waiting to be solved at http://shangrila.cs.ucdavis.edu/cgi-bin/jol/rulemonger And a small prize is up for grabs. (Anyone wishing to donate prizes for future puzzlers, feel free to e-mail me. :-) -- L. I am having trouble finding the server. Perhaps for some reason Netcom can't connect, but that seems unlikely... The server was down this weekend (a few hours of downtime was needed, but apparently the support staff thought it would be more convenient if they didn't have to come in over the weekend to trun the thing back on). It should be up today by 10am PST. [ quoted text not captured ]

The URL is still down - apparently a problem with the new port. Try http://shangrila.cs.ucdavis.edu:1234/cgi-bin/jol/rulemonger instead [ quoted text not captured ]
