Imbued vs Illusions of the Kindred

I just want to be sure I've understood what's happening in the Spell of Life thread. For that reason, here comes what was a dumb question (because it was not asked), and is actually a stupid question. My prey controls a Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande. Suddenly, it happens that one of my vampires enters combat. I play an Illusions of the Kindred, and reveal Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande. Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande is *not* a vampire, so it should contest my prey's Inez (since nothing is specified about contesting Imbueds on Illusions of the Kindred). My Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande and my prey's Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande do contest, and if my prey yields, I can keep my Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande as long as I want. Second ex-dumb question : When my Inez "Nurse216" Villagrande enters play due to my Illusions, does it win a Conviction? Does its special ability apply ? (cf. Sonja Blue + contest) When it comes back from the contest, can it gain 1 power, due to its special ability ?

[ quoted text not captured ] Found on this NG [search: Illusions Imbued]. Note point number three. The following effects are not imbued-compatible: * Chain of Command (cannot put imbued into play) * Clotho's Gift at [tem] (cannot target imbued in uncontrolled region) * Illusions of the Kindred (if the bottom card is an imbued, no new combat begins and the imbued is removed from play.) * Might of the Camarilla (won't force a Methuselah to burn an uncontrolled imbued). * Recruitment (search as indicated: vampire).

Correct. That list is also here: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/index.php?line=Checklist_NightsOfReckoning (So you don't have to search the NG)

Actually, as I read the topic, it sounds that there is no combat because the Imbued is incapacited. Which means it comes in play, before being removed. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/browse_frm/thread/b5a2ca7cdc90dca7/95be478917d3fe02?hl=fr&lnk=gst&q=illusions+imbued+author%3Alsj&rnum=1#95be478917d3fe02 discribes how things happen. Imbued is brought to play, not gaining blood, sent to incapacited, and only then, burnt. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I still don't get it: why would the imbued not contest ? Isn't it burnt from play, hence has been put in play, and could've trigger any contest ?

[ quoted text not captured ] Yeah, that just means I didn't correctly update the official card text for IotK. Just as the final reference to vampire was changed to "crypt card" (for removing it from the game), the reference to vampire in the does not contest area should have been changed as well. I'll fix that.
