Target vitals and shadow court satyr

If the satyr has a target vitals on it, and the satyr is in combat with meth A's vamp, and meth A chooses to cancel the TV, does it stay or go? Sounds stupid, but the card is played as if from your hand, so if it is cancelled, do the same rules apply? I think on, but wanna make sure
