I have some questions: 1. Can I play Rötschreck against Pulled Fangs? 2. Can I play multiple Pulled Fangs at the same time (causing more aggravated damage) ? 3. Do I get manouver from Bum`s Rush if targeted minion blocks it? 4. according official tournament rules. IV Special Floor Rules. 1. Repeat actions rule: minions action is blocked and she untaps. Can she perform same action again in the same round? 5. Can I use damage preventation cards outside of combat? ie. Can vampire prevent damage from Carnas the Imp with Skin of Rock (or with Flak Jacket)? ---Marko---

Does this mean that whenever I enter combat with someone who isn't choosing to block (Bum's Rush, Haven Uncovered, etc) they remain untapped after combat? Are they only tapped as a result of blocking? -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- pheersum inhabits the mortal shell of eric schultheis. one channels mailto://phee...@sb.net. pheersum manifests at http://www.sb.net/pheersum/Pheerpage.htm . the oracle speaks--"in theory there is no difference between theory & practice, but in practice..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Are they only tapped as a result of blocking? Yes - only two things will tap a minion, outside of card text explicitly stating that a minion is to be tapped. Those two things are: acting (attempting an action) blocking (successfully blocking an action) -- L. Perhaps I missed some ruling, but that how my group plays it. There are no references in either the original Jyhad rulebook, the "corrected" Jyhad rulebook, any Rules Team Rulings, nor the VtES rulebook (with errata to same) that support that position. >And that's how we will continue to play it, btw. No you don't tap. You don't tap when someone is attacking you. You only tap if you take an action, block an action, someone uses the Louvre with Prince of Paris, someone misdirects you, or someother ones I can't think of at this time. If blocking, not combat taps the vamp, then if my opponent says, "Why yes, I won't block that Bum's Rush (Haven Uncovered, etc.) does that mean they remain untapped after combat? -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- pheersum inhabits the mortal shell of eric schultheis. one channels mailto://phee...@sb.net. pheersum manifests at http://www.sb.net/pheersum/Pheerpage.htm . nature says,"go ahead, have as many babies as you want. something will eat them." ---------------------------------------------------------------------

That's exactly what that means. If you don't act and don't block, then you don't tap. Explicit card text may allow other tap effects/options, but this is the default behavoir. Combat never results in a tap. Some cards (Brujah Frenzy) will cause a combat and a tapping effects, and almost all blocks (which are tapping effects) will cause combat, but combat itself doesn't tap anything. From what I understand, yes. However, if it is a Bum's Rush and you block, they do not get the maneuver permitted by the Rush. So I guess you'd have to decide which you want more in that case. However, if it is a Bum's Rush and you block, : they do not get the maneuver permitted by the Rush. Not to mention the fact that the acting vamp will have to fight the minion *you* want him to fight (the blocking minion) instead getting to fight the minion *he* wanted to fight (the target of the Rush). : So I guess you'd have to : decide which you want more in that case. Of course, not blocking means that the opponent gets the free maneuver. Blocking denies them the maneuver, but your vampire is tapped. It's a tradeoff. gnfnrf
