1) Minion A (the acting) declares his strike: hand strike, minion B hand strike aggravated, minion A asks minion B: "do you play Rotschreck ?" minion B says "no". minion A plays primal instincts supperior and changes his strike to dodge (e.g. sideslip), does minion B have the chance to play Rotschreck at this moment, as he sees that his aggravated strike is going to be dodged ? i believe yes, but i'd like an official answer. 2) A friend of mine says that you can play Giant's blood for recycling purposes even if one has already been played. I don't have any CE Giant's blood and i don't know if the new text says anything like this. So, is he right or not ? 3) Can i decline to block and then block with eagle's sight supperior for recycling purposes ? I bleed someone, he declines to block, any other methuselah declines to block, i play conditioning. i believe that at this time, after any methuselah has declined to block and i have played all the action modifiers i want, none can block with eagle's sight, only Anneke, right ? In other words, this means that i have the right to ask any other methuselah (going clockwise) if he blocks with eagle's sight, before i play any action modifier to increase the bleed, do i ? 4) i bleed for 1 and play spying mission superior. Next turn, i bleed with night moves, the bleed is successful for 1, the spying mission is burnt for +2 bleed. But at the time the spying mission is burnt, does the night moves restriction applies (no more than 1 pool can be bled with this action) ? I believe it is kind of complicated, because: "the bleed is successful when it RESOLVES unblocked, at least for 1". So the bleed is successful when the action resolves and thus ends. That means that spying mission is burnt as the action is ending. But the +2 bleed from the burnt Spying mission is a result of the night moves bleed action, so i think that the restriction applies, but i'd like an official answer.

By 1.6.1.6, this means: A: "I don't play any more effects" B: "Me neither" And so you move on to strike resolution. > minion A plays primal instincts supperior and changes his > strike to dodge (e.g. sideslip), does minion B have the > chance to play Rotschreck at this moment, as he sees that > his aggravated strike is going to be dodged ? i believe yes, > but i'd like an official answer. Moot. A cannot back up and play Primal Instincts after everyone declines to play more effects. When everyone passes in a given phase, you move on to the next phase. But, in general, B can respond to any of A's effects, yes, again by 1.6.1.6 > 2) A friend of mine says that you can play Giant's blood for > recycling purposes even if one has already been played. I don't > have any CE Giant's blood and i don't know if the new text says > anything like this. So, is he right or not ? Card text is available online. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Cardlist.html http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Cards.html Giant's Blood's card text: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Cardlist_G.html#Giants_Blood "Only 1 Giant's Blood can be played in a game." Cases of functional changes to card text acros printings are listed here, as well: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/migration.html "Giant's Blood can be played only once per game (VTES)" > 3) Can i decline to block and then block with eagle's sight supperior > for recycling purposes ? You can cycle Eagle's Sight without resorting to declining to block. Once you decline to block, however, Eagle's Sight cannot overcome that. > I bleed someone, he declines to block, any other methuselah > declines > to block, i play conditioning. i believe that at this time, after any > methuselah has declined to block and i have played all the action > modifiers > i want, none can block with eagle's sight, only Anneke, right ? Correct. http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3E523072.2070801%40white-wolf.com Note that you could add "Does Anneke block?" to the end of the list before you play Conditioning as well. > In other words, this means that i have the right to ask any other > methuselah > (going clockwise) if he blocks with eagle's sight, before i play any > action modifier to increase the bleed, do i ? Yes. > 4) i bleed for 1 and play spying mission superior. Next turn, i bleed > with night moves, the bleed is successful for 1, the spying mission is > burnt for +2 bleed. But at the time the spying mission is burnt, does > the night moves restriction applies (no more than 1 pool can be bled > with this action) ? The Spying Mission is burned (since the bleed is successful). The bleed amount is 3. (1+2). The amount of pool burned is 1 (by the limit set by Night Moves). > I believe it is kind of complicated, because: "the bleed is > successful when it RESOLVES unblocked, at least for 1". Applying the +2 after the action "thus ends" would result in no effect whatsoever, Night Moves or no. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
