/* ** Rulings which required followups are marked as *CONFIRMED*, *REVERSED*, ** or what have you. ** ** Accurate as of 9/3/94. */ If the vampire using The Rack is burned, then the rack is effectively stranded until someone takes control of it, at which point they can assign it to a new vampire. Owl Companion has truly odd wording. Basically the way it works is this: Let's say Basilla has an owl companion, and enters into combat with Cassandra. For the duration of the combat, *all* players may look at Cassandra's hands. If Storm Sewers was used to modify an action which is blocked, then the "choose range" step is skipped for the duration of that combat, and all cards which would be used before range was chosen are used before strikes are chosen instead. *CONFIRMED* Sudden Reversal can be used to either cancel a master card as it's being played, or to burn a master card which is already in play. The only time uncontrolled vampires are checked for sufficient blood capacity is at the end of the influence phase. So if Govern the Unaligned or a similar card is used to fill up an uncontrolled vampire, it will still have to wait to come into the active region. The Second Tradition (Domain) has truly awful wording. It does what you probably think it does, which is to say, it untaps the vampire (allowing it to block) and gives the vampire +2 intercept. The rule is that a given vampire can only use a reaction card once per action. So if you could use two Dread Gazes during a vote, but only if you had two untapped, ready vampires with Presence. There is no limit to how many vampires can be in your uncontrolled region. Cryptic Mission can be used against a vampire with no blood on it; it just won't do anything to that vampire. If the acting vampire has superior Thaumaturgy, then it gets a blood from the bank, whether the victim has any blood left or not. Your vampires don't have to vote, and in fact they can cast different votes (i.e. some voting "yes" and some voting "no"). *ERRATA* Having multiple Armies of Rats out is redundant, not cumulative. Your prey will only be losing 1 pool during your untap phase regardless of how many Armies you have out (as long as you have at least one out, of course). It will be rewritten in a later printing. Vast Wealth is not a one-shot action. It appears that the intention was that it be one-shot, but there is nothing on the card indicating that it is, so it's reusable. Just be warned that there might be errata, though I don't think it's abusable enough to be worth it... You can only attack the subject of Haven Uncovered while it is ready. It does not create an exception to the rule that you cannot take actions against vampires in torpor. Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
