Since a vampire being burned by agravated damage is not going to torpor, it can play all those nice cards that can't be played if going to torpor. I remember the look on my predator's face when he realized that Yuri's last action as he was getting burned could be Amaranth:-) A bit more confusing situation is if the vamp plays Taste of Vitae for enough blood to keep from being burned (now you are going to torpor...). I assume it is legal to play it since at the time played the vamp isn't going to torpor. Are there any other cards that cannot be played if going to Torpor? We had this come up some months back. A Famous vampire had receive burn damage thus was not going to torpor, thus could play Taste of Vitae, problem was Taste is played "after" damage resolution as opposed to 'during' thus it's too late to get a Taste. !-----------------------------------------------------------------------------! A vampire which is burned by aggravated damage never goes to torpor, so it certainly appears that it could, for example, use Amaranth on the way out. This is probably not what we want ;) but on the other hand there doesn't seem to be anything in the rules preventing it.
