I was recently told that per wotc info a person is allowed to mix vtes
and jyhad in their library however the crypt of vampires have to all be
jyhad or vtes? If this is true that is the stupidest most f*&^^d up thing
they can make ppl do. Basicly you tell everyone buy vtes or go screw
yourself. If you don't see it this way then perhaps the expansion sets
should be printed as jyhad and vtes. Anyway. Thinking on this idocy. I
have devised two ways besides the normal do it anyway. Ways of mixing
vampires and not knowing if it's a vtes or jyhad card.
1'st:
and most silly is stick your srypt in a brown paper bag and reach in
everytime you need a vampire not being able to see the cards.
2'nd:
Is a bit more ingenios amd seems like a money maker for some rich person
who can do it. Simply take those mifty card condoms they have and either
make an insert or a condom itself specificly have black which covers over
the words jyhad or vtes the condom or extra card insert on the condom
might look like thus.

Seems a simple enough way to allow jyhad and vtes vamps to mix thus
elliminating this petty worry of stacking your vampire crypt.
And if your poor and cant buy these things if they are made or you don't
have the nack at making a little card slide in for your own. Then just
slide in two cards into your card condom the back card being eithe vtes
or jyhad making all the back cards the same will cover the front card
which is the vamp you play.
So anyway these are my thoughts and maybe some one will make this blacked
out condom or a card insert to put in one. If not i know i'll be grabbing
thin cardboard and making my own. Cause that rule sucks for all jyhad
players.

Only in sanctioned tournament play. Outside of that environment, you can
do whatever people are comfortable with.

They'll pry Camille from my cold dead hands before I'll take her
out of my V:TES Gangrel deck.

Our group is playing the "use all the cards you paid for" variant, which
means that use all the cards from Jyhad, Vampire, and Dark Sovereigns.
There is no good reason why people cannot use the cards. The only excuse
I could allow would be if your group is uncomfortable making decisions on
card use/timing etc on its own.
Granted, I've messed up people's games by specifically shuffing all their
VAMPIRE crypt cards to the bottom. ;) Also, if you have been playing a
long time with a group, others using VAMPIRE cards to add to their Jyhad
decks almost mark their own decks. You add the cards you need more of
right? So, its quite possible to guess what the VAMPIRE backed cards are
before they even get drawn.
My group passes their library and crypt to their prey for that player to
shuffle, sometimes it makes for very interesting games.
Remember, it is only a game. If you're getting in huge arguments over
it, perhaps you take it far too seriously.

Here's something I do about the different card backs.
Put in the cards you want, Jyhad, Vamp and DS.
Then shuffle your crypt and Lib. and cut each pile.
Now, just draw from the bottom of each pile.
You can get little plastic card trays to make this easier,
or put your deck near the edge of the table.
Now no one can see the backs of your cards unless they
are on the table or they look at your card hand.
This idea was originally posted on this group
before VTES was released. I cant remember the person's
name-but I must give them credit for this idea as it
is not my own.

I won't even mention the fact that we players were told for MONTHS that
the new card backs would not keep us from using our old Jyhad cards AT ALL.
And now we have stuff like a play deck must be a 60-40 mix of cards and
NO mixing of Vamps. What's next..."If you want to use 6 Conditioning
cards, you must include 3 Jyhad and 3 V:TES"?
Sorry, I guess I just mentioned it! <g>

I totally agree. I loved the hype that all cards will work with the new
sets. not expecting to be limited. but now your told no no no. i really
feel for all the suckers who go to tournament.s what a jip!

There is a simpler way, add a ratio of 50/50 of each the jyhad and the V:TES
that is how we do this...
