In a multi-Methuselah game can a Sudden Reversal be used to reverse a
Sudden Reversal, thus allowing the initial master card to work?
An example:
Methuselah #1(M1) plays a Brainwash on a uncontrolled vampire of
Methuselah #2 (M2). M2 counters by throwing a Sudden Reversal. Can
Methuselah #3 now also play a Sudden Reversal canceling M2's Sudden
Reversal thus allowing M1's Brainwash to be played?
Thanks in advance,
Doug

Yes, a cancelled Sudden Reversal will hal no effect, and therefore not cancel
the initial Master card played.

Yes to both questions. If I remember the card correctly, M3 will end
up paying 2 pool for the privilege; no other Methuselah will pay pool.

Yeah, that would work ONLY as long as 3rd Meth. played the 2nd Sudden
Reversal.

Surely, the Methuselah (M1) who played the initial Brainwash could also play
another Sudden Reversal as Sudden Reversal is an Out-of-Turn Master and
would therefore negate his next master phase but not affect the present
one. I would assume however that you can't stack Sudden Reversals' up
for more than one turn ahead though.

The Brainwash would be successfully played, yes, unless M4 used
another Sudden Reversal (whee!) to "counter" the Brainwash after all.
That third reversal could itself be reversed, and so on ad nauseum,
remembering that each player will only be able to play one out-of-turn
card between their turns...

Not officially. Last word is that an Out-of-Turn master can only be played
when it is *not* your turn.
My group plays it like you do, though: you can play an Out-of-Turn master
any time it isn't your master phase (assuming you haven't already played
an out-of-turn card that causes you to lose your next master phase).
