Obedience and hunting

A strange situation came up recently, and I am not sure what the correct ruling is. Vampire A is empty when she untaps, and therefore must hunt at the beginning of the minion phase. Vampire B, controlled by another methusalah, blocks the hunt. Before combat can begin, B plays 'Obedience' in the inferior form. "Only usable when about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire. Instead of entering combat, leave this vampire untapped, and untap the acting vampire. The acting vampires action is blocked, and it cannot perform the same action this turn." So A untaps. Then what? A can't hunt, but must hunt. At this point we agreed the vampire could do nothing, but remained untapped (and could have blocked) but I am hoping there is an offical ruling on this...

[ quoted text not captured ] You played it correctly. A minion who must take some action but if prohibited from taking that action is stuck and can take no action. This has only come up for hunting so far, but it is true for other actions, as well, if it ever comes up. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. [ quoted text not captured ] So the empty, tapped vampire can take no actions- could A block actions later? ie, do all the things a normal, untapped vampire can do, besides act?

Correct, as you pointed out in the original post. [ quoted text not captured ]
