Just a question about stuff that has probably been asked a thousand times. I just wonder if I have these lists correct. Cards in Jyhad that are not in V:TES: Camille Devereaux Chainsaw Consealed Weapon Monocle of Clarity Movement of the Slow Body Rotschreck Rowan Ring New cards created for V:TES that are not in Jyhad: Archon Investigation Elder Intervention Justicar Retribution Protected Resources Raven Shadow of the Beast Also, all the stats for Raven are the same as Camille, is the artwork the same between the two? Just curious, Totengraber -- "How can you call me evil? Have you spoken to God today? What did he say?" Erm, the story I heard was that it was, effectively, a portrait of some famous (in America) chick. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "And all the while I'm thinking things that I can never share with him. What I understood to be the case was that the image was a painted copy of a picture from a Victoria's Secret catalog and that the artwork was a violation of copyright. I first heard this when Jyhad was still in print and I'm not entirely sure about the accuracy of the story...although it does make sense. For your viewing pleasure, and to quell the doubts of those that supsect this is just an urban legend, I've uploaded a scan (found elsewhere on the net) of the catalog image which served as the base of the Camille image to the V:TES club at Yahoo! http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/vtes Break out your old Camille card and compare. -- L. They are merely a clothing outlet that specializes in women's undergarments, lingerie, etc. I'm not very familiar with them, but I have been under the impression that what they offer is fairly mainstream. -- John Whelan

I doubt Andy Warhol would agree (but then I have met people who have never heard of Andy Warhol. Does that mean he isn't famous?), but what can you do. I couldn't name a single member of the New York Yankees baseball team if someone put a gun to my head. Still, I suspect that at least a few of them would quallify as "famous". >>I have no doubt that she is fairly well known within her field (fashion model) but that does not make her famous.>> Stephanie Seymore was a fairly well known media personality in the early 90's, specifically because she trancended her field (fashion modeling)--she was on the cover of countless magazines, appeared on TV and film, and married (and divorced) a rather infamous (also at the time) rock star. That is pretty much as famous as it gets. Granted, her 15 minutes are now over, but for a window of time, she was defenitely famous. Mind you, I'm not a huge Stephanie Seymore fan or anything (I'm just fairly media savy). I'm just entertained by your notion of fame :-) Legbiter wrote: >>Erm, isn't Victoria's secret a sex shop? Does that mean he isn't famous?), > but what can you do. "Famous" is, of course, a relative term. A person can be "famous" within their narrow field, and still be unknown to the vast majority of people. But we were not discussing whether whe was "famous" withing a specific field, but whether she is "famous in America". The person who referred to her as "some famous (in America) chick" assumed that because he had never heard of her that therefore her fame must be much greater here, which I am unsure is the case. Associated as it was with rock stars and fashion industry, I suspect that whatever fame she had probably crossed borders, and to the extent that it did not, she was not all that famous. > I couldn't name a single member of the New York Yankees baseball team if > someone put a gun to my head. In light of this information, I will grant that she *was* slightly famous (for 15 minutes), though hardly as "famous as you can get". > Mind you, I'm not a huge Stephanie Seymore fan or anything (I'm just fairly > media savy). Yea, models can come from anywhere...does anyone not see the resemblance between Spirital Protector and Brad Pitt? -- "The bittersweet Caress of a chill Eternity blazens my sword with dark flames of retribution." [ quoted text not captured ]

cantila

I've heard of her here in Sweden and knew she was a model, although I didn't know what she looked like until I saw the pic of her that LSJ provided. Since I don't know the name of THAT many models I'd conclude she's famous enough to be considered famous ;) [ quoted text not captured ]

You're right, Spiritual protector IS Brad Pitt !! And what about this: Jean Claude Van Damme & Hand of Conrad ? and more: Ventrue Wilhelm Waldburg looks like a well known german top model (i forgot his name), except his hairs are darker. Toreador Makarios somewhat looks like Antonio Banderas... Another Vampire from Dark Sovereign (Javier Montoya or Klaus van der Veken) is rumored to be a regular WotC illustrator, Randy Gallegos. French people may also feel something strange when looking at Form of Mist -The guy on the picture looks like Michel Drucker, a famous TV talker... reyda "Lord Darksword" <lord_dar...@my-deja.com> a écrit dans le message news: 8t9rbi$rvh$1...@nnrp1.deja.com...
