Deck Name: Darkling Trickery Created By: Sander Description: Question: Can a single vampire that does a bleed action, play several Seductions on different vampires ? Darkling Trickery, because I think that Darkling is a perfect name for the Kiasyd and Trickery fits well what Kiasyd bleeds do. Lots of people around here are really big fans of second traditions, and with the upcoming Camarilla set I expect to see lots more of second tradition decks. So I decided to go ahead and add some extras against those decks. Suggestions are welcome as always. Reverse the amounts? Plus, as you said elsewhere, you could drop some stealth for the necessary untaps and bleed defence. > > > > Reaction (4 cards) > > 4 Obedience > > Oops, should probably have added some wakes and deflections here. I know, it costs 1 blood, but I think the card is really overlooked to much, especially when using tricky strikes such as the above. > > > > Equipment (4 cards) > > 4 Leather Jacket Definitely too high a number. You should be spending actions bleeding, not equipping! Drop to two, I'd say - and pack some extra maneuvers for combat defense, if you think you need more. > > > > Combo (6 cards) > > 6 Aura Absorption Very good card, that :) All in all, a solid enough Kyasid deck, as yours usually are. Maybe not my taste in combat defence (I'd use either more maneuvers and heavy strikes (Earth Swords or Entombment, probably with Black Metamorphoses as well), or more Obediences), but it could certainly work :). Keep it up! Patrick

So I decided to go ahead and add some extras against those > decks. Given the above answer, and your stated intent here, I would suggest Call of the Hungry Dead, thus making a 'you can't block deck'. The way I usually do it (if I am not expecting deflections et al.) is to tack +1 stealth onto a bleed, seduce the obvious blocker, and then when some other minion yanks out the intercept, CotHD them. Obviously, this would be a shift of focus for your deck. On the plus side, most players don't have too many princes (unless they incorporate princely bload), and certainly not too early in the game, so you should get through ok, and if not, at least pull out the 2nds at a high rate. > Suggestions are welcome as always. > > Crypt: (12 cards, Min: 22, Max: 35, Avg: 7.17) > ---------------------------------------------- > 3 Marconius DOM MYT OBT pot 9, Kiasyd, Archbishop > 2 Bartholomew AUS dom MYT NEC obt 8, Kiasyd > 3 Julia Prima aus DOM myt OBT 7, Kiasyd > 2 Kassiym Malikhair dom for MYT OBT 6, Kiasyd > 2 Beatrice L'Angou aus dom MYT nec 5, Kiasyd Obviously, a little shift to the nec vampires might be in order, if you use CotHD. > Library: (85 cards) > ------------------- > Master (15 cards) > 4 Blood Doll > 2 Direct Intervention > 2 Dominate > 1 Festivo dello Estinto > 1 Hungry Coyote, The > 1 Metro Underground > 2 Minion Tap > 2 Obtenebration High average vampire capacity and no development accelerators (info, zillah, dreams, etc.) - you will get hurt by weenies. > Action (11 cards) > 6 Govern the Unaligned > 2 Graverobbing > 1 Revelations > 2 Sanguine Instruction With such a high cap and slow development, you are only likely to see 2 vampires enter play, against aggressive opponents. (snip) > > No. A given minion can only play 1 copy of a given modifier each action. LSJ I have a question then conserning Domain of evernight can I play it at inf obf to get the stealth and then at sup to untap we've had this problem in our meta for a long time with cat's guidance. since the action is resolved I'd say yes because the untap is no longer played during the action but I'm not entirely sure so could you resolve a long time dispute between me a couple of other players. thanx Emile

Can't block is something different then what this deck does. It prevents the second tradition decks and on the two tourneys I've been to at least 25% uses second traditions to untap, so The Sleeping Mind is in place at a dutch tournament table. And as en extra plus the same prince decks can't deflect the bleeds I throw at them either if they normally rely on 2nd traditions for untaps. And for some extra information I am planning to improve the deck as soon as some of my trades come in. That deck is basically a opportunity bleed deck, with very low stealth (perhaps only the 2 points I can get from MYT)..for the remainder of my turns I just stack up on a few permanent plusses to bleed. The layout will be about this. permanent bleed: 9 cards (Pulses and Retainers + Laptops) digging in: 5-8 cards (Secure Haven, Chanjelin Wards) permanent intercept: 2 cards (cheapest media) intercept cards: 10 (preferably those that give maneuvers) poolgain masters: 5-6 bleed defense: 10-15 cards bleed chance increasers: 10 combat cards: whatever remains. > > > Suggestions are welcome as always. > > > > Crypt: (12 cards, Min: 22, Max: 35, Avg: 7.17) > > ---------------------------------------------- > > 3 Marconius DOM MYT OBT pot 9, Kiasyd, Archbishop > > 2 Bartholomew AUS dom MYT NEC obt 8, Kiasyd > > 3 Julia Prima aus DOM myt OBT 7, Kiasyd > > 2 Kassiym Malikhair dom for MYT OBT 6, Kiasyd > > 2 Beatrice L'Angou aus dom MYT nec 5, Kiasyd > > Obviously, a little shift to the nec vampires might be in order, if > you use CotHD. > > > Library: (85 cards) > > ------------------- > > Master (15 cards) > > 4 Blood Doll > > 2 Direct Intervention > > 2 Dominate > > 1 Festivo dello Estinto > > 1 Hungry Coyote, The > > 1 Metro Underground > > 2 Minion Tap > > 2 Obtenebration > > High average vampire capacity and no development accelerators (info, > zillah, dreams, etc.) - you will get hurt by weenies. As you might have noticed this deck won't need the governs for the extra bleed (it is nice, but not truly necessary), mostly I will use them for pool+speed gain (as in the Lasombra decks I play). > > > Action (11 cards) > > 6 Govern the Unaligned > > 2 Graverobbing > > 1 Revelations > > 2 Sanguine Instruction > > With such a high cap and slow development, you are only likely to see > 2 vampires enter play, against aggressive opponents. Do you want to > spend an action on the SI? Yes. It makes almost any vampire in the crypt more efficient, the drawback of the full Kiasyd clan. [ quoted text not captured ] Don't mind S:CE (it won't hurt my vampires), Basilisk's Touch works against IG rush, and the aggropokeys I will scare off with the entombment (or just prevent them from aggropoking at all, while blocking the rush with Marconius) > > > Equipment (4 cards) > > 4 Leather Jacket I should drop two of these, and give the one I draw to Marconius. > > > > Combo (6 cards) > > 6 Aura Absorption This is one of the cards I love most about mytheceria. Its both stealth and intercept. Really nifty even if you planned on using it for stealth, you can always gain that 1 point of casual intercept.

[ quoted text not captured ] The untap is played during the action, of course (otherwise, the reaction card could not be played at all - there must be an action to react to). [ quoted text not captured ]

Agreed, the sleeping mind will shut down the 2nd trad bussiness blocks - once. after that, they'll leave one prince untapped. Still, that slows down your prey, so it might be worth it. You do know a prince that plays 2nd must try to block? i.e. try to block first, and not deflect right away? Improvements you make to the deck after you get trades - great. Show 'm to us then. [ quoted text not captured ] Which will only really work efficiently if you have Marconius or Julia Prima (DOM), and Kassayim or Beatrice, since that will allow the new vampire to show up in one turn after you add four influence. That, and with only 6 Governs, you won't reliably see those. It may be nit-picking, but I really think you could benefit from some influence-boost - Info highway or Dreams of the Sphinx, even. And, if you use your Governs for the speed boost, you only have 6 Conditionings for ousting power left. Not impossible, but I think things could be significantly harder on your opponents. [ quoted text not captured ] Just like Spectral Divination, right? Good luck, Tobias
