I did a search, but did not find an answer to this... Is the "(discard afterward)" on Tye Cooper simply reminder text? For example, if I have 6 cards in my hand due to having a depleted library and I use Tye Cooper to burn a vampire, I bring a card to my hand from my ash heap. I am not over my hand size, so normally I would not need to discard.... unless Tye's parenthetical text is actually instruction and not reminder text. In general, parenthetical text is reminder text, but there is reminder text that is not in parentheses, as well as non-reminder text that *is* in parentheses on cards. So...? Card Text: Tye Cooper Requires Giovanni 3 pool Unique wraith with 1 life. 0 strength, 1 bleed. Tye is immune to non-aggravated damage. He may burn a non-ready minion as a (D) action. If that action is successful, you may move a library card from your ash heap to your hand (discard afterward).

It's reminder text anywhere it appears. > example, if I have 6 cards in my hand due to having a depleted library > and I use Tye Cooper to burn a vampire, I bring a card to my hand from > my ash heap. So you discard to your hand size. In this case, that means you discard 0 cards. [ quoted text not captured ]
