Transfer Quiz Question of the Day!

Ok, so lately on the White Wolf forum, we've been having some interesting quiz-type questions on the thread "Masters phases" on topics such as the most master phase actions one can have during one master phase (the highest right now is at 95 I believe). Another question was how fast you could transfer yourself out (losing pool only via transfers) and 4 turns seems to be the optimum. Much of that question revolved around how quickly one could bring out Ingrid Rossler and Tarbaby Jack. Since I've had so much fun with that, I decided to pose my own little quiz question: Okay, we know that going 4th or 5th with an Information Highway will allow you to transfer out a 6-cap during your first turn. With the Tomb of Ramses you can transfer out a 7-cap. Or with the Tomb of Ramses or Zillah's Valley you can transfer out an 8-cap on your first turn. So: #1. Explain how you can manage to transfer out Ingrid Rossler on your first turn. Try to see if you can do it without losing pool other than via transfers but I'll also accept solutions that include pool loss through other means. #2. In a similar vein, what is the largest capacity vampire you can bring out on your first turn? (With the same suggested restrictions as #1). Right now I can figure out how to bring a 10-cap into play on the first turn but haven't been able to manage 11 yet. #3. And finally, without losing pool other than via transfers, how can you bring out a 7-cap or 8-cap during your first turn. (I'm just interested if there are any common ways outside of Tomb or Zillah's). So have fun and remember contrived answers are good *and* fun! Wish I could offer a prize or something but I guess you'll just have to settle for pride... Halcyan 2

If i am allowed to rely on other people doing weird stuff: player 1 plays info highway, and brings out normal. player 2 plays malk dementia, and uses normal that turn to call a disputed territory, giving me the info highway. they then bring up brazil. player 3 plays Tomb III, and makes 3 transfers, putting 3 counters on the tomb. player 4 plays malk dementia on brazil, and calls disputed teritory giving me the tomb. player 5, me, plays zillahs valley on the uncontrolled vampire with the tomb. (bringing it to 4 pool plus 3 tomb counters). i then transfer 6 pool to it using the info highway, and the tomb gets 6 more counters. i now have an uncontrolled vampire with 10 pool and 9 tomb counters. i should be able to bring up just about anyone with that. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

Nice. I forgot about Malk Dementia. Cool - this was the exact sort of thing I was looking for! Halcyan 2

( declaring "Yes it's a weenie obfuscate deck but normal is the only malkavian here) Meth C plays malkavian dementia on normal, and calls honor the elders + bribes to gain a pool and put blood on his fatties ( "since normal is the only maly here, i'll use this now to borrow him and put blood on my vamps). You may also gain one pool to the bribes by discarding a vote card. You have more blood on the fatties in your uncontrolled region, including ingrid. methD (you) plays Zillah's valley on ingrid. Then put your 4 transfer on ingrid (9cap). And she's out.

FYI: There is a way to take an action with <vampire X> on your first turn (which is the fifth turn of the game) without spending any pool or taking any transfers yourself, while (before <vampire X> takes any action) gaining 19 pool... ... for any <vampire X> (crypt card) in the game. (That is, it can be done no matter which <vampire X> you choose.) (19 is probably not the most one could gain - my solution doesn't involve any of the other Methuselahs taking more than one action on their respective turns). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. A high number of Malk Dementia (the first turns), Dramatic Upheaval and Honor the Elders can bring your entire all-Inner Circle crypt out on turn one. On the other hand, your uncontrolled region can be emptied with might of camarila before you have a chance to transfer. [ quoted text not captured ]

Well, this one works for vampires with capacity up to 6: Player 1 plays Succubus Club. Player 2 influences out Normal. Player 3 plays Malkavian Dementia, to take Normal. Normal calls Disputed Territory, and gives the Succubus Club to Player 5. Player 4 plays Information Highway, and influences out a 6-cap. Player 5 makes some crazy deal, taking 29 pool and Player 4's 6-capacity vampire away from him. Voila!

Jozxyqk

Slight self-correction.. Not 29 pool, but merely 23 pool (so Player 4 is left with 1 pool after spending 6 transfers). Got a little ahead of myself. [ quoted text not captured ]
