What is the possible maximum bleed in one action.....my friends and I have
discovered a way to bleed for a total of 12...
Can anyone come up with a way to bleed for more....
[ quoted text not captured ]
How's this:
Bring out Ozmo (+1 bleed). Play a Dominate skill card on him to give him
superior Dominate. Have Ozmo employ J.S. Simmons, Esquire (+1 bleed) and
Tasha Morgan (+1 bleed). Have Ozmo equip a Laptop Computer (+1 bleed).
Play Pulse of the Cannaille (superior) on Ozmo to give him a bleed of 3+1.
Have Ozmo perform a Spying Mission on your prey so that his next bleed
will be at +2. Next turn, Ozmo does a Govern the Unaligned to bleed your
prey at +2. As an action modifier, play Conditioning (superior). Total
bleed is
3 + 1 for Ozmo with Pulse of the Cannaille
+1 for J.S. Simmons
+1 for Tasha Morgan
+1 for the Laptop Computer
+2 for the Spying Mission
+2 for Govern the Unaligned
+3 for Conditioning
---
14 bleed total
Much simpler: invite 20 people to play, then call a Conservative Agitation
vote to make someone lose 20 blood at once (and take 1 loss yourself just
to be nice to the other survivors).

Using the same 14 point bleed that someone else
posted earlier, you could continue the action
and bleed yet again if Ozmo had the skill to
allow him to play the freak drive card which
lets him take another action that same turn.
So Ozmo can bleed for 14+ points of blood in
one round...:)

Unless you subscribe to the (bogus) theory that Mask of 1000 Faces lets
one violate the "one action modifier per action" rule (someone suggested
an interpretation that would let someone play two Conditionings), the
most ANYONE could bleed for would be:
Vampire with +1 Bleed, given Pulse of the Canaille, a Laptop, Tasha
Morgan, J.S.Simmons, who uses a Spying Mission, then uses Govern the
Unaligned with Conditioning. [1+3+1+1+1+2+2+3 = 14].

Well, you may think that it's bogus, but it's official. The
limitation is one action modifier per action per minion. Mask does not
violate this since it's no longer the same minion. This is the same
principle that lets Cloak the Gathering superior work.
Tom Wylie was the one who suggested that two conditionings
works. Some of us hold that the Bonding/Conditioning/Threats clause
means that only one CARD of [B/C/T] may be used, but he interprets it as
only one TYPE of [B/C/T] may be used, and being the netrep, that makes
it official until otherwise noted (admittedly, if I were rewriting the
rules, it would be one card of the set).

I checked my cards, and they say " only one of B/C/T may be PLAYED per
action". Note, not "used". The Golden Rule of cards indicates that would
override the DTR on multiple minion/same action (which is a rules
clarification) and I see no ambiguity with the term "played". Not only
does the 2nd Conditioning not work, you can't even put it down.
This is aside from the spirit and play balance of B/C/T, which I certainly
think indicates you can't drop in combination/multiples under any
circumstances.

There has, and it says that Ozmo becomes a 4 bleeder, not 3. The +1 Bleed

And yes, this is the way the Mask card works. This is not the

The use of spying mission is of course only hypothetical. (Bleed twice at

Spying mission is burned only when the action (bleed) resolves, and so may not
be carried over from the first minion to the next Masker.
The initial bleeder's Laptop, Pulse, inherent +1, Retainers, would also not
carry over.
Max bleed is therefore:
3 * (# of Masking Vampires playing superior Conditioning)
+ 14.
With only two vampires, (only one Masking), this makes 17.

I may be getting into this a bit late, and going over territory already
covered- but can you really start doubling up on conditionings and the
like? For starters, I believe the ruling has been that an action modifier
modifies the action itself. Otherwise you couldn't carry over a
Conditioning with the Mask. Now talking about Conditioning, Bonding &
Threats specificly, the cards clearly state that only one can be played
"per action", not per action, per minion performing the action. My reading
of this would be that one of these cards can be played once during the
action as a whole. ( IMO this is very balanced and clearly within the
strict letter and spirit of the rule)
In terms of the other action modifiers, my group plays that only one of
each type of action modifier can be played per action. This would mean
that only one Lost in Crowds (for example) could be played for the entire
action. The sole exceptions to this are those cards allowing another
minions to play modifiers. This generally means Cloak the Gathering and
the Mask. Now perhaps this should be considered a house ruling. I
believe that my group generally plays that only one additional Cloak can
be played, and that only one Mask can be played. I do recognize that the
rules might allow for additional duplicate modifiers to be played by
another minion. I also recognize that a reading of the rules might allow
a Masking vampire to play additional modifiers (like stealth cards already
played by an earlier minion this action), but I would like to see the
specific rule that these interpretations are derived from.
As I said, I hope that this is not backtracking too much, but as I am
fairly new to the newsgroup, i hope you will indulge me.
Thanks

Quick recap: current rules are 1 modifier per minion per
action and 1 reaction per minion per action. B/C/T's clause has been
interpreted by Tom Wylie to mean 1 of those TYPES can be used per
action, while other less official people (myself included) say only one
CARD from that subset can be used. With Tom's ruling, Mask allows
multiple conditionings. That's the official word so far. Check rules
section 7.2.2 for rules confirmation.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! By demonstrating that you can (and have) read the card
in question, understand basic English grammar and can apply 3rd-grade
logic skills, you are now officially _smarter_ than the entire Design Team!
Sigh.
Someone asked this question about usinf B/C/T on a Mask of 1000 faces,
and out of the blue the Design Team (or was it Tom all on his lonesome?)
ruled that one could only use one TYPE of B/C/T per action. This is
usually enough,as each minion can only play one of each action modifier per
action.
HOWEVER
When the Mask of 1000 faces kicks in, things get tricky. I (and almost
the entire rest of this newsgroup) agree with you that the modifier
afforded by B/C/T should apply to the _vampire_ and not the action (so by
switching out vampires after playing it you would effectively lose that
benefit) OR that the new vampire cannot play another B/C/T because one
has already been played on the action.
The maximum bleed argument involving adding in +3/vampire w/ Sup.
Dominate that Scott posted involves using the official rules, not common
sense.

Again - this is reasonable, logical... and now it's wrong. If you
switched off vampires in the middle of an action (with Mo1000F) the new
minion could now _also_ play a Lost in the Crowds - at least according to
the implications of above ruling they could...

My best actual bleed in a game was 7.
I know there's a way to do 10. How did you get 12?

The highest I have actually figured out is 14. (This assumes that only 1
conditioning card can be played per action. See previous posts concerning
this argument)
3 Pulse of the Canille base 3 bleed 3
4 Vamp natural +1 bleed +1
5 Laptop +1
6 JS Simmons +1
7 Tasha Morgan +1
9 Govern the Unaligned (Or Legal Manipulations) +2
11 Spying Mission +2
14 Conditioning +3
If all these factors come together, the bleed would be for 14.
