So I seem to remember that Hidden Lurker and Fast Reaction do basically the same things but in different situations: reaction or action. If I remebered incorrectly, then just play that way anyway.

I am quite a bit confused by the Hidden Lurker card. It _seems_ to be an action card, with no stealth attached, that works a bit like a modified Bum's Rush. However, halfway through, for no apparent reason, it says "This vampire is tapped", but it can only be played to attack a vampire that has just blocked... So is this just to re-tap a vampire who has untapped using Majesty, Earth Meld or Cat's guidance? I'm asking because Hidden Lurker seems a _lot_ like Fast Reaction (?), the auspex reaction card that does the same job, more or less, but Fast Reaction cannot be intercepted. From the wording of Hidden Lurker, it seems possible it is supposed to be an action modifier or something, and it is establishing that the Lurking vampire is tapped. How exactly is Hidden Lurker a) meant to be played, b) played by most people, c) played by the WOTC rules-rewriters? Hoping someone can help, Kevin Lowe. (who does a fair bit of lurking himself)

The "this vampire" is the vampire playing the Hidden Lurker card. Hidden Lurker should be an action modifier, which is why the text has to tell you to tap the vampire playing the card. (As an action, the vampire playing the card would be tapped by default.) >So is this just to re-tap a vampire who has untapped using Majesty, Earth >Meld or Cat's guidance? And actually, the DT rules-rewiters agreed with such inescapable logic for a time. But then they escaped and are once again logic-free on this card (They overturned the errata and re-cast the card to an action). >How exactly is Hidden Lurker a) meant to be played, b) played by most >people, c) played by the WOTC rules-rewriters? a) As an action modifier (IMNSHO) b) As an action modifier (IMHO) c) As an action, easily blocked and unweildily :-) worded. -- ----- L.
