Greetings!
I'm just dropping a line to let you all know I will be at GenCon this
week and weekend, so I won't be on the list until this coming Monday
(8/12) at the latest. I apologize in advance for the slow delay I will
have getting to all the mail.
While I have the floor, let me first thank everyone for the warm
reception to the list. My netiquette is a bit rusty, and people have
been very helpful in getting me up to speed. It is much appreciated.
Also, thanks for your input on my questions, especially about the
revamping of the DCI rules. We won't be able to please everybody, but
we'll try to make some positive steps for the game.
Finally, here's how I answer rules questions: if you want an *official*
ruling, all you have to do is ask. The responses by those rulesmongers
out there are great--it allows me, to be frank, not to do as much work.
This allows me to be more of an official rep. As a result, if I do not
chime in on a rules question if it is posed to the general public, then
I would agree with the answers as they have been posted. I'll only pipe
in on rules queries if I am asked for specifically or if I disagree with
a posted answer. Judging from the quality of rulesmongers we have here,
I shouln't have to do that very often. :)
