Two questions about Seeds of Corruption

1). Does SoC removes the vampire's title or not? Unofficial FAQ says it does, but some threads in this newsgroup state it doesn't. Currently I think that the card doesn't strip *Titles* and doesn't prohibit voting, but it *does* prohibit using any cards or abilities that require the title. For instance, Prince with Seeds still has two votes, but he cannot play Parity Shift, Second Tradition etc. Am I right? 2). An action to remove Seeds on my vampire is not directed (D) if my minion is acting, but it will be directed (D) if the acting minion is controlled by another player, right?

Unofficial FAQ says > it does, but some threads in this newsgroup state it doesn't. When the official and the unofficial are at odds, take the official. "Special ability" includes all non-term (Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, Vulnerability, Anarch, Black Hand, Seraph) text. (note that this only restricts things that are possible only by special ability - things that a special ability makes impossible are still impossible.) I would love to see the FAQ. The only semi-current FAQ is here: http://www.thelasombra.com/vtes_faq.htm and Seeds of Corruption does not appear in that FAQ at all. Carpe noctem. By the way, whether Clan is handled the same way - e.g. can a Toreador antitribu with Seeds play Art Scam?

It is a POS. There have been a number of complaints about this document since its creation, with many calls for removal from the White Wolf site. I would recommend avoiding it like the plague. Or at least it seems at first read through the document. In the opening paragraph, it says: "It hasn?t been proof-read by LSJ, " I would skip everything in purple. These are quotes from other people as often as they are from Scott, and are not guaranteed to not have been fixed by Scott later in the same thread of the newsgroup. --------------------- >To quote from the unofficial erratas/clarifications word document found on >the white wolf website: Definitely a mistake, as they are known to be flawed, and unexamined by LSJ. --------------------- [ quoted text not captured ]

I couldn't imagine that a document downloaded from OFFICIAL site could be wrong. I'm a certified Magic:the Gathering judge (Level 2), and maintaining the proper rules of the game is my job :) From a judge's point of view even inconsistent rules are dreadful, and wrong rulings should be immediately exterminated! 2 LSJ: Wrong rulings on the official site cannot be tolerated. And there MUST be an official rulings that should answer all questions. Magic rules are very comprehensive, and there are general rules and card-specific rules. To my mind, V:teS is a BETTER game than Magic, so we need consistent rules too. If you don't mind, I can try to compile your answers from the newsgroup into a single document, but I cannot "fix" the dreaded Unofficial FAQ. Why don't you fix it yourself? This will prevent many stupid questions like mine :)

>>"Special ability" includes all non-term (Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or >>not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, >>Vulnerability, Anarch, Black Hand, Seraph) text. Oh, Dear!!! I finally understood the statement. It means that "special ability" DOESN'T include TERM TEXT, like Clan, Sect or Title. Sorry for misunderstanding, but English isn't my native language, and this statement is the most confusing I've ever read :) I'd appreciate this variant: "Special ability" doesn't include any "term text" (Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, Vulnerability, Anarch, Black Hand, Seraph), but includes any other text. All players I know just didn't pay attention to the negation in the built-in "definition word" "NON-TERM". Thanks for your help, anyway.
