So let's say that, according to the current multi-judge system, 6 judges are appointed before the start of a tournament. During the tournament, one of the six judges has to leave the tournament (for whatever reason) and will not come back again. What happens then when the 5 remaining judges (also players) get to the final round? Or what happens when those 5 judges must play together during any of the preliminary rounds? Must a 7th judge be appointed at that time? Can more than 6 judges be appointed before the start of a tournament using the multi-judge system? Judges and organizers must be present for the whole tournament, naturally. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. All prizes must be shipped to me in the US. Every third player must cut off their left hand. Every fourth player must burn all of the cards they own that are not in their tournament deck. All surviving judges must immediately commit ritual seppuku without a second. Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com

This one must be the right answer I was looking for :-) > All prizes must be shipped to me in the US. No. You already have too many cards :-P Besides, doing so would not be legal under the current V:EKN Tournament rules >:-) > Every third player must cut off their left hand. > Every fourth player must burn all of the cards they own that are not > in their tournament deck. > All surviving judges must immediately commit ritual seppuku without a > second. Uhmmm... Severing limbs according to mathematical considerations, burning holy stuff like cards, that artistic way for the judges to commit suicide, make me think that you are a natural ritualist. Have you ever considered the possibility of changing clans to Baali? >:o) > Carpe noctem. Hoc sine dubio faciam :) [ quoted text not captured ]

Not that I like to argue... but where does it say in the tournament rules that Tournament Organisers must be in attendance of the the tournament? I agree that judges must be present as the wording under 2.6 Head Judge Responsibilities. That plus the wording of 2.9 Multijudging system suggest that any of the multi-judges could become a head judge. If I may, this passage comes from the 'new' tournament rules valid on 1/7/04. Which is identical to the current tournament rules. 2.2. Tournament Organizer Responsibilities The tournament organizer for an event is ultimately responsible for all tournament operations and event reporting for the event. The tournament organizer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Selecting the site for the event Providing all materials to operate the event (product at Sealed Deck events, and so on) Retaining all tournament results for one full year after the event's completion Reporting to the V:EKN of all event results, including winner, in a timely manner Staffing the event with appropriate personnel (including finding an appropriate head judge for the event) Advertising the tournament sufficiently in advance of the event date The tournament organizer may choose to delegate some or all of these responsibilities. It does not say that an organiser must be present at an event. It also states that a tournament organiser may delegate all of some responsibilities. LSJ, can we get clarification on his as you statement seems to contradict the current and future VEKN tournament rules. I am sure that there are some people out there who enjoy the structure of sanctioned events and do not want to run the risk of having an event becoming unsnactioned. Andrew Daley

It comes "naturally". See above. [ quoted text not captured ]
