In the last game we played we came upon a small point of interest that has probably already been covered sometime on this news group. A settite used Enchant Kindred to bleed , my prey indicated succes so i then played Aire of Elation. Then my prey played Misdirection. I argued that had he said he was declining to block then he could now legitimately play the card Telep[athic Misdirection. However the point of uncertainity regardless of the example is What is the timing procedure for a Deflection card, can you wait for thebleed modifier or do you have to deflect the initial action? --- d out

This is the time that you must declare block or no block. This is also an available time for reaction cards. Assume no block, otherwise resolve stealth intercept and all that. 3) Action Modifiers after block or no block declaration 4) Final Reactions to the action (Deflect) So. . .The Acting minion can add modifiers after the no block, but the reacting Meth always has the final oppourtunity to react. Such is the nature of reacting. The acting minion has one opportunity to play any and all cards he wants to after the no block, and after he has played all of those cards hat he wishes to play, the Reactor reacts until he's satisfied and then the action resolves. You can play reaction cards at any time during the action (unless otherwise stated on the card). This includes playing deflecting-style bleed reaction cards before and/or after any blocking attempts or action modifiers. -- L. And the acting minion may elect to play more action modifiers after any reaction card (and vice versa). It's sort of like maneuvering incombat, except that you aren't limited to just one modifier at a time. >So. . .The Acting minion can add modifiers after the no block, but >the reacting Meth always has the final oppourtunity to react. The acting minion has one opportunity to play >any and all cards he wants to after the no block, and after he has >played all of those cards hat he wishes to play, the Reactor reacts >until he's satisfied and then the action resolves. Actions and reactions occur indefinitely until both the acting Meth and (all) the reacting Meth(s) elect not to play any more cards. If the actor declines to modify the action and someone else plays a reaction cards, then the actor could elect to play a modifier after that. After each card or other effect, the acting Meth gets first opp. to play a card or effect. At some point, the acting Meth will decline to play any more cards at the moment, and then the other Methuselahs will get a chance - first the target of the directed action (if any) and then clockwise around the table. If any card or effect is played, then the process starts over - allowing the acting Meth to play any cards and/or effects and then checking each of the other Methuselahs in turn again. Over here we always allow the wait. Otherwise I'd know a nice trick against +bleed decks... 'I bleed you with X' 'Ok, I go down 1 blood' 'But I wanted to play conditioning...' 'Too late, I already took the bleed...' Sound silly to you ?
