Has anybody else noticed the Ink Color differences in DS? I have two Praxis
Seizure: Amsterdam. (one with green color, and one with blue). And half of
my master cards are different shades of grey than the others.
What gives?

I have noticed this as well and it probably is just printing problems.
On a side note has anyone witnessed any wear and tear on their new V:TES
cards? A friend of mine bought some V:TES cards a couple weeks ago and
has playing with a few in his deck (composed mostly of Jyhad cards).
While his Jyhad cards bought months (a year?) ago are still new the edges
of the V:TES card is already showing signs of wear (fading edges). Some
one also mentioned a while back that the ink on their V:TES cards was
smearing... I hope these are isolated instances, but don't see how they
could be.

I'd have to say that the cards are darn cool, except for you're right, some of the
cards are discolored. Hey Tom!!!! Did Wotc print these at Carta Mundi or not????

You mean the cards were smudged in shipping, or they'll smudge when you
handle them? The latter can be handled [pun unintentional], I suppose, by
giving them some time to dry after you open the packs. But the
former--hmmm, if the backs become smudged then the card is completely
useless... Why the switch from Carta Mundi, anyway?

VTES and Dark Soveregins were printed at the US Playing Card Co. Yes,
there are occasional color problems, but Carte Mundi has always been
the same way. I have a pair of Urza's Mitres that look like they're
from different editions of the Gathering, a handful of Carte Mundi
Tremere in which half of the clan borders look almost beige, etc.
There was a new problem in the VTES printing process, however, concerning
the ink. The ink takes longer to dry properly than was anticipated, so
at least some of the VTES print run smudges too easily. This may have
also affected some of the print run of Dark Sovereigns (I don't remember).

The almighty $$$. It would be more expensive to print at Carta Mundi, besides
V:TES isn't that popular and doesn't need the quality card support does it?...

I would just like to congratulate Wotc and the US PLAYING CARD CO
on an extremely high quality product =)

Yeah, but the problems are not as noticeble as they are in the VTES cards.
It looks like they got a little better. The real problem I have with the
card printing (and maybe it's just me) is that the ink seems to rub off.
I mean, the black borders on my VTES cards are getting rubbed to white
much more than my older Jyhad cards. Is anybody else having this problem?

I sure havent noticed any ink rubbing off, but I have noticed that the
ink/lamination on Vtes and DS is thicker and stickier to the fingers than
the jyhad ones... iow you cut to the Vtes cards more often and there hard
to shuffle, ie: I have like 15 of the "new cards" in my 90 card deck...
I've played about 10 games since putting them in, shuffled the thing an
incidious number of times and always, always they come up in groups of at
least 3....

Sorry, to be more precise: the ink rubs off a lot more easily than it should.
I don't know how much letting them cure once out of the packs will help,
but I'd imagine it will help some.

I've had some DS cards for two weeks and they have a sticky feeling to
them (since I practically sterilize my hands before touching them and
don't eat or drink around them after the dreaded "rootbeer" incident, the
only thing I can attribute it to is the ink. I have used card sleeves for
my play deck, but the cards in my box are still sticky. Is this due to
the ink? How long are we supposed to wait to have them "cure"?
