This was in my pigeon hole when i got back to work. I suspect Steve Cantlow or Lunar Moon, but i spose it could be Garry. A small reward is offered for information leading to the apprehension of the poet. A LARGE reward is offered to the poet, cos i think this is HILARIOUS!!!! ODE TO LEGBITER Legbiter, legchewer, the nipper of toes Is already dead, but just doesn't know He disrupts my business and kills my friends But little does he know, that i'll get him in the end. I'll stop all his plans, and ruin his fun And stick all his ideas right up his bum. And if he trys to sneak and use lots of stealth Then my minions will see that he loses his health. And if he trys to attack and stick the boot in Then i've got some ideas to see he don't win I'll smash and i'll bash and i'll thump and i'll crunch And all that i'll leave is a short bloody stump. So give in and give up, just do as your told And i might leave intact your pitiable soul. A critical situation is arising here in Vienna. Our local shop (the one which really supports VTES) is running out of VTES Boosters. They are unable to get replenishments; in the past, they always managed to have VTES on stock. Sabbat might last a few months yet. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Can someone tell me where the local shop could get large quantities of cards at *reasonable* prices? It seems that VTES is slowly running out. Question is: what will happen when there are no cards of the basic set available? Will WotC reprint the basic set, or create a 2nd Edition (which would be a good thing to correct some minor flaws of the game)? Hey, fellow players, how is it going in your area? I got pointed at the Sabbat Auspex card by a newbie learning the game: the auspex-skill card has the superior animalism symbol instead of auspex, did you know that? Weird, that I overlooked it for so long. Carl [ quoted text not captured ]

This isn't going to aid Legbiter's cause, but as long as the title is "poetry corner" I'll take full advantage. I now pause so all may scuffle of to retrieve a cup of specially blended java for the occasion. Thank you, and now, Jyhad in haiku. "Potence" Immortal Grapple defeats a strike: combat ends when range is set close "Gangrel" Here Kitty, Kitty. Aid from Bats; Army of Rats Claws will be your end. "Ventrue" The Brujah have no concept of society. Come Kiss My Ra, fool! "Malkavian" ? Citizens Lucid Not are we cause mad being is this seeming odd "Naivaklam" Odd seeming this is. Being mad, 'cause we are not. Lucid Citizens ? Thanks again, I'll be here all week. Rob Grau rfg...@eos.ncsu.edu

Hee hee. Great! "Nosferatu Antitribu" At long range am I. I throw sewer lids at you. That is how you die. "Toreador" All die from our bleeds. If you block us: End combat. So don't even try. p.

One More for the Road: "Well Aimed Car" Press, Maneuver, Strike The card takes too much effort. Humor? Inherent. Rob Grau rfg...@eos.ncsu.edu

"To the Malkavian that bled me last" Now that I've caught you You sure look like a fellow Who's cucked his last coo Okay, I'll stop now. p.

We still have a shop or 2 in Austin that has some VTES. Ironically enough it's no trouble to find Jyhad <sigh> From what I understand, there are distributers that still have plenty of stock. There are several shops in the US that sell over the internet. Jeff (TheLasombra) is our resident expert on buying/selling, so maybe he could chime in if he knows particulars. If it really get's grim...I guess you could always air ship some over ;-) <carl.pi...@at.ccmail.philips.com> wrote: > A critical situation is arising here in Vienna. > > Our local shop (the one which really supports VTES) is running out of > VTES Boosters. How about some verses appropriate for the Madness of the Bard? Awake, thou fool, and block this deed Else I thy scantling pool will bleed. Now answer all my summons here Ye rats and rodents fair and fell And take my foeman unawares With aye your army out from hell. This here is my gift benevolent To make this minion mine potent. Celeritas the Latins height What Saxons call as quick as light. ( height being the past of an archaic form of "call") Then from my generous plenitude I give this vampire fortitude. What man can bear vicissitude, Its fortunes swift and upsets rude? Who breaks within these blasphemous dark halls, Disturbs our sleepless slumber and our wreck Of all unfinished dreams, and slays our thralls Till we must needs awake and intercept. More Bardic Madness: ("Your turn now") The wheel has turned and dealt its fortune My time is past, no more an actor Am I or are my minions But thou shalt be this play's director. [ quoted text not captured ]

>More Bardic Madness: > > ("Your turn now") >The wheel has turned and dealt its fortune >My time is past, no more an actor >Am I or are my minions >But thou shalt be this play's director. I'm not sure on the exact wording of Madness of the Bard, but does it say anything beyond that players must speak in rhymes? Does it refer to any specific type of rhyne? Because if I remember correctly from English class, there are a whole bunch of different kinds of rhyming schemes (and some are pretty deranged!). How would this work? Halcyan 2

How would this work? Any rhyming scheme will do, since card text doesn't specify a particular scheme. Well, you can work with internal rhymes (rhyming with words in the middle of the sentence) and eye rhymes (words that look like they should rhyme). Half rhymes (words which kind of rhyme) would also be possible. -- James Coupe (Accepted (pending grades) for English by Cambridge University) Not that I'm boasting or anything, you understand.
