Question 1. Can my Aabbt Kindred perform D-actions if I put Nefretiti in play with a spell of life? Question 2. If I put aabbt Kindred in play via spell of life do the ally aabbt kindred contest with the non-unique vampires or just each other? Question 3. Vamp A calls a vote.Vamp B has 1 blood. There is no block attempt. Vamp B plays forced awakening and tries to play a delaying tactics. Is this allowed? Do you have to pay the blood for the forced awakening first for not blocking? Question 4. If my prey dies during an action due to my aching beauty. What happens to my action? If it is directed at him does it fail because there no legal target anymore? If it was undirected can my new prey attempt to block? Thanks in advance, Oortje

It doesn't matter that this Nefertiti is a mummy. If it is directed at the ousted Methuselah, it will fizzle when it reaches resolution unblocked. The new prey can attempt to block if eligible.

The new prey can attempt to block if eligible. hangon, this has me confused - maybe that's because it's late and I've been playing left 4 dead which has addled my brain... So, if my prey is on 2 pool, Masika with 2 Aching Beauties bleeds him. He blocks and dies, does that mean that the bleed continues and the new prey can now attempt to block (effectively getting 2 bleed actions in 1?). Surely that isn't right. Aching Beauty Master, 2 pool, Toreador, Master. Put this card on a Toreador. If this Toreador is blocked, the controller of the blocking minion burns 1 pool (before combat occurs). The pool is only burnt when the action is successfully blocked. How can the new prey attempt to block if eligible if it has been blocked. Too many Boomers! :-/ --> J

LSJ was answering two questions - one for directed actions, and another for undirected. -witness1

If there are multiple Aabt kindreds in play and i play seeds of corruption on one, do they suddenly all contest with the non unique one?

jwnew...@bellsouth.net

[ quoted text not captured ] (Hit send too soon) By way of example: Masika bleeds for two, prey attempts to block and dies, no other Methuselah can attempt to block (barring Eagle's Sight) action fails on resolution because it targets a Methuselah not in the game. Masika calls KRC, prey attempts to block and dies, new prey may attempt to block this undirected action. -witness1

If I understand it well, its like this. A unique card contests with a card with the same name. No matter if the other card is unique or not. Am I right LSJ?

LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] Seeds of Corruption doesn't affect uniqueness. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/?line=rulings "Special ability" includes all text except terms (i.e., it doesn't include Clan, Sect, Title, Unique (or not), Blood Cursed, Circle, Flight, Infernal, Scarce, Slave, Sterile, Vulnerability, Anarch, Black Hand, Seraph, Red List).

James Coupe

[ quoted text not captured ] No. Unique cards contest other unique cards with the same card. If there's a non-unique card with the same name, you ignore it entirely (for the purposes of contesting). -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR. LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] True: Aching Beauty doesn't cause pool loss until the block is successful.

Blooded Sand

[ quoted text not captured ] So what about if the prey (A) has one pool, grand prey(B) has 3 pool. Arika bleeds, A attempts to block, Arika plays true love's face. If a pays the pool, xe is ousted, does the bleed now retarget B?

Blooded Sand

[ quoted text not captured ] So i assume that means that the action would fizzle then.

jwnew...@bellsouth.net

[ quoted text not captured ] If nobody plays Eagle's Sight (or similar) to block it, it will fizzle on resolution. -witness1

Carlos Eduardo

[ quoted text not captured ] Masika attempt KRC. Prey attempts to block. Prey block sucessful and should pay for Aching Beaty and because this xe die at this time. Corret? Thus, the action is blocked and the blocking methuselah is ousted before combat begins, ending the action. Corret? Once the action is already blocked and ended, how is blocked again by another player?

Combat is canceled (since one of the would-be combatants isn't ready), yes. The action isn't quite over yet, though. The acting minion could still play some effects (superior Freak Drive, for example). > Once the action is already blocked and ended, how is blocked again by > another player? It isn't. The claim above that the action, already blocked, could be blocked again by the new prey is not correct, as pointed out above.
