Who is this 'Dan Murdock'? Where can the little Bast#@d be found? Anyone know what he does(ie. abilities, disciplines, ...)? I have 2 boxes of DS boosters, and other than this mysterious catiff, a complete set of DS. Any info would be apreciated.

Any info would be apreciated. Dan "The Man" Murdoch can be acquired by sending in a coupon that's in the back of a White Wolf V:TES novel:"On a Darkling Plain". He's a 4 cap. caitiff with obf. and aus. and as an action can go through controller's library to get the Giant's Blood and exchange it for a card in your hand. -Tobin -tpl

That's pretty stupid! He sounds more like a Malkavian than a Toreador (in the book, Dan was embraced by the "Toreador" Methuselah, who cursed him to make him an outcast...which is why he was a caitiff...he was also stronger than normal...). -Elfholme -- ****************************************************************************** This bit of wisdom has been brought to you by: Mark Havener Lord of elfh...@netcom.com Wood Elf King (and Jyhad player extraordinaire!) ******************************************************************************

The Toreador Methuselah would be fourth Generation, same as (say) Etrius. So the new vampire should be Fifth Generation, and he should have a capacity of 10. 10 point caitiff? Now that *would* be cute. Also, despite what special ability he may have, there's no way I'd pay 4 pool for a vamp who didn't have either 3 skills or a superior skill nd a regular skill... Or should that have been OBF and aus (or obf and AUS)? -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | "What is a man without the beasts? Now that *would* be cute. I've been thinking about this for a while before this thread started. I don't think Capacity relates exactly to Blood Pool from the RPG - like Pool form V:TES, it's not always literal. I'm working wiht the assumption that Generation is approxamately 15 minus capacity, so most caitiff are 14th, 2-bloods are 13th (Most PCs in the game), and so on, up to the Inner Circle (4th Generation). But the ability to hold blood in the RPG doesn't progress at the same rate as V:TES, so there are obviously some discrepencies. Also, a Vampire doesn't get older or go up a Generation when he learns a new dicipline (Gets a skill card). My resolution: Blood on a Vampire Card is a mix of actual Blood and resouces, like Pool is for a Methuselah. As a Vampire gets older, it gets better, learns more tricks, and knows how to do more in Kindred society. Thus, you can have a very low generation, but naieve Caitiff, or low-gen, but quick-learning or aged Vampire with quite a bit of skill. -- Geoffrey "Gofe" Schaller "Laugh, and the world laughs with you dr...@libertynet.org Weep, and you weep alone. 1831 Canterbury Road For the sad old Earth Abington, PA 19001 Must borrow its mirth (215) 886-7999 But has troubles enough of its own." http://www.libertynet.org/~drake/

This is correct - blood capacity does not always reflect a vampire's true generation. Yes, it's true that a vampire with more capacity than another is "older" in it in game terms, even though their generations might be off; it's just not worth the headache to run around occasionally saying "Joe Brujah only has 8 blood to due to generation, and 1 due to status" and things like that. >My resolution: Blood on a Vampire Card is a mix of actual Blood and >resouces, like Pool is for a Methuselah. This is why the new Praxis Seizures give a prince of the right clan an extra blood capacity, why Wrath of the Inner Circle chops 1 off the ex-Justicar's capacity, and so on.
