Further to one of our collective rants last night, this is from the latest version of the on-line rulebook: "Important: No Methuselahs draw to replace cards during a referendum. After the referendum, each Methuselah draws back up to her hand size (as necessary)." Which, of course, gives Anam a HUGE advantage in any similar games we play in future, since she gets to redraw while those of us with an XY karyotype don't..... ;-) Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

You accomplish this goal by using your influence to gain control of younger vampires and using those vampires to take actions to reduce the influence of rival Methuselahs. Influence is represented by pool counters (see Equipment Needed, sec. 1.2), the main currency of the game. When a Methuselah runs out of pool counters, she* is bereft of influence and ousted from the game. As Methuselahs are ousted, players earn victory points; the winner is the player with the most victory points at the end of the game (see Victory Points, sec. 9.1). * Throughout this rulebook, references to players (Methuselahs) will be feminine ("she" and "her"), while references to minions (characters represented in the game) will be masculine ("he" and "his"). These pronouns are not intended to identify gender; this is merely a useful method to avoid both cumbersome "he or she" constructions and ambiguity. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In article <3951FB67...@white-wolf.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] i knew that! hence the smiley! But thanks anyway for the clarification. Actually our rant wasn't about PC language, it was about our TOTAL group confusion over the current state of the redrawing-during-votes rules. Not confused anymore, however. Nice job on the online rulebook BTW - a model for how these things ought to be written. Going to have a nice index in the printed version for Sabbat Wars, i expect? [ quoted text not captured ]

Oh, and he looked so good in that dress too..... -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "I know my ex-boyfriend lies. Oh, he does it every time. It's just his permanent disguise, yeah, yeah, but he's drop dead gorgeous."

In article <sl53j66...@corp.supernews.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] For those of you who are wondering, this is basically true [except about the sex change. The best thing my dad ever gave me was his Y-chromosome]. In fact i once won a fancy dress competition by attiring myself as Mary Poppins, and i got married in a kilt. Unsolicited testimonials from other sources: "How come Men always have the best legs?" [independently said by two different Brides of Legbiter]. "Bloody hell, james, it's YOU!!! VERY convincing, so much so that I was wondering who the Ugly Old Bag was." [one of the students at leeds, when i won the fancy dress compo]. Related or not, at one time i had self-waxing legs [a big bald patch appeared comprising most of my left calf, but then it went away]. [ quoted text not captured ]

I'm just wondering if you shaved for the Mary Poppins impersonation. >Related or not, at one time i had self-waxing legs [a big bald patch >appeared comprising most of my left calf, but then it went away]. Or do you rather mean you now comb over the area? Bleu
