If an Ilomba in play is the target of a chair of hades, does the Ilomba get removed from the minion or is part of the "remove from play" effect to burn the Ilomba thus making the minion burn a blood instead? Ilomba, Retainer, Laibon, R , [EK:R] Animal with 1 life. Requires a Laibon. Put Ilomba on any minion (this is a +1 stealth (D) action if that minion is controlled by another Methuselah). If Ilomba would burn a life (or would otherwise be burned), this minion burns a blood or life instead. If he or she cannot, he or she is burned. A minion may have only one Ilomba. Chair of Hades, Action, Necromancy, R , [LotN] +1 stealth action. [nec] (D) Remove a mortal or ghoul (retainer or ally) from the game. [NEC] (D) Remove any non-wraith ally or retainer or vampire with capacity less than 3 from the game. /Ivan

[ quoted text not captured ] I'd say just remove. Ilombra's text says "If Ilomba would burn a life (or would otherwise be burned)", chair says "Remove any non-wraith ally or retainer or vampire with capacity less than 3 from the game." Ilombra is removed from game, not burnt, so its text isn't enacted.

Correct. Burning is not part of removing from play.
