[LSJ19970224] says: "The Sabbat vampire targeted by a directed action doesn't get the +1 intercept bonus from Communal Haven: Temple." Communal Haven: Temple's cardtext: "Each Sabbat vampire you control gets +1 intercept when attempting to block (D) actions directed against Sabbat vampires you control. A player may have only one Communal Haven in play." I have no idea what the ruling is based on, given the card text, which seems pretty clear. If Kendrick is getting Sensory Deprived, he's (a) a Sabbat vampire I control and (b) attempting to block a (D) action directed against a Sabbat vampire I control. What am I missing? gomi -- Blood, guts, guns, cuts Knives, lives, wives, nuns, sluts

[ quoted text not captured ] See the cited article (linked from the rulings page) for the then-current card text upon which the ruling was based. The ruling is out of date with the MRP (Sabbat War version). I'll remove it from the list. Thanks, Scott -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I am baffled. I have in front of me a Sabbat-printing Communal Haven: Temple and a Sabbat War-printing Communal Haven: Temple. The only difference in wording is that the Sabbat one says "A player may have only one Communal Haven in play" and the SW one says "A Methuselah [...]". They both say "Each Sabbat vampire you control gets +1 intercept when attempting to block (D) actions directed against Sabbat vampires you control." In other words, the card text cited in that 1997 post doesn't seem to me to have ever existed. Were there multiple print runs of Sabbat with corrections in between or something? Josh how bizarre

[ quoted text not captured ] Official WotC spoiler text: Each Sabbat vampire you control gets +1 intercept when attempting to block (D) actions directed against other Sabbat vampires you control. A player may have only one Communal Haven in play. -- [ quoted text not captured ]

That's funny. :-) Does anyone have a Sabbat-printing Communal Haven: Temple that has printed text agreeing with the WotC spoiler list (ie with the phrase "*other* Sabbat vampires" on it)? I have 15 copies of the card and not a single one has the word "other" printed on it. Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com

Nope. 0 of the 4 I could find. Xian levelled out

Could you scan it for us and put it on the web or something? Hey, and if you can lay hands on one of those Wind Dances, a scan of that would rock too, I still haven't seen any actual pictures of that one. :-) It sounds like in the US we didn't get ones with the word "other" on them. I wonder if it was more common in Europe? Anybody know if there actually were multiple printruns of original Sabbat or something? Hey, you West Coast folks who apparently ended up with more Sabbat than God, you guys have any "other"-using Communal Havens out there? Josh curious

I had forgotten all about that. You'd think I'd remember, since I think the majority of what Sabbat I own came from that Halloween '97 re-release. I don't suppose you *also* know if it was the second printing that omitted the "other" on Communal Haven? :-) thanks for the pointer, Josh lazy detective
