I've got two quick questions for everybody... 1) Is there anyway that anybody knows of to prevent damage to reatiners in combat at long ranger? For example. if the minion employing the retainer strike:dodges, does the damage on a targeted retainer still occur? 2) On cards such as Bonecraft and Soul Burn that each do damage and have a side effect (-1/-2 hand damage or weapons do no damage), if the damage is prevented by some means, does the side effect still occur (i.e. is the strike still considered to be succesfsful for this purpose)?

Only causing the damage to remain unresolved, or by setting the damage dealt to zero. (Strike: Combat Ends, Destroy Weapon with First Strike, a (non-existent?) ranged version of blood rage, etc.) Dodge will not prevent damage that targets a retainer. > 2) On cards such as Bonecraft and Soul Burn that each do damage and > have a side effect (-1/-2 hand damage or weapons do no damage), if the > damage is prevented by some means, does the side effect still occur > (i.e. is the strike still considered to be succesfsful for this > purpose)? Yes. Only dodging the strike as a whole (or ending combat) will prevent the other parts of the strike's effect. --- L.
