As I mentioned in an earlier posting, I played recently with a group who are pretty much isolated from the active V:tes community -- and more particularly from the rules changes over the past several years. There were 3 changes that were significant to our play that night. So, I have since gone to the Online Rulebook to prepare for our next soiree. Here's what the Rulebook addresses, and what it doesn't. 1) Timing for Strike Modifiers It was questioned whether one can modify a strike after the other minion has declared his strike (for example: Sadie strikes hands, Vliam strikes hands, Sadie uses Wolf Claws?). Although I know that one can modify a strike at any time before Strike Resolution, there seems to be no explicit text in the Rulebook that covers this. Can an acting player modify a strike after the reacting player declares her strike?? Let me know (so I can settle this at our next soiree). 2) Agg Damage & Burning Blood Does the first point of agg damage send a vampire to torpor *and* require that vampire to burn blood or burn?? Not any more. The examples in the Rulebook cover this rather well, but I do believe that the language before the examples is confusing. For example, the Rulebook says: "For each point of damage inflicted on a vampire, he must burn one blood to heal the damage." But, this is *not* true for the first point of aggravated damage. 3) Tossing PA cards The Rulebook is explicit about this: "Each Methuselah can gain no more than one vote from political action cards." So, if LSJ or a Reasonable Substitute could supply the ruling on the combat modifier, we'll be on our way. Thanks in advance, Madman Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

You can play modifiers (and they will be effective) any time up until strike resolution. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
