This post will hopefully be obsolete in a few days, but...
I called my distributor today to see if the Sabbat was in their warehouse
(and thus on its way to my store via UPS). The answer, surprise, was no.
Thus the Sabbat will not hit retailers' shelves on the advertised street
date. I would love to hear if any of you in other parts of the country
(or even my own) do get the Sabbat tomorrow. Then I can take up the
issue with my distributor. Incidentally, I live in Southern California.

I and a group of friends have a case pre-ordered, and the people we ordered from
just told us the release was the 30th, but they could be including a delay for
their turnaround.

Hey Chris.
A friend who still works at my local comics/gaming store tells me that it
should be in your store by monday the 28th.
Eric Caegle at WOTC confirmed this by replying to an email of mine telling
me that the 22nd date WAS changed, but that (arches eyebrow) the 29th is
FIRM (in his words).

It'll be released to the distributors on the 28th. At that point, they
ship it to the retailers, so it takes from a day to several days for the
distributors to ship it. At that point, the retailers put it on sale, and
millions of gamers open up their Sabbat packs and blanch in disgust and
horror...

I went to my distributors today (Friday October 25th), and lo and behold,
they had Sabbat in the wherehouse. However, no amount of cajoling would
compel them to release me even one box until Monday. The boxes look
really cool - here's hoping the cards live up to the outside packaging.
I also hope that Ian F.'s ability costs a blood every time it is used,
but that's another moribund (thank goodness!) thread.

Now, all of us are hoping that this is from the _art_, right? ;)
But honestly, I think that the art won't make me sick, whereas seeing
a copy of Ian Forestal most definitely would...
Hoping that Sabbat does not perpetuate too many of our concerns about
game balance and costing(and wondering what WotC's point system is,
since Shawn didn't post it...)...

Personally, I intend to make an Intombment/Graverobbing deck with the
Lasambra. I'm also going to try to get a house rule that Graverobbing by a
member of the Sabbat will turn you Sabbat. :)

Ritaxis, who unfortunately didn't see any vis cards in the display pack he saw.
