There are plenty of ways to make non-cam vampires seem like Cam vampires, or actually become them; Writ of Acceptance, "Invitation Accepted" type votes, Clan Impersonation... But there's at least one vampire who is unable to change sect as far as I can tell, and I'm wondering if there's a clever way to do it. Beast, Leatherface of Detroit Is there a card I haven't seen, which allows a !Nos (or general Sabbat vampire) to become Camarilla, without an Action or Equipment? Or are there any "tricks"? Such as a card that would make him Caitiff or something? Don't ask "Why would you want to do such a thing?" That's not the point. I'm just wondering if it's possible. Any ideas?

Closest I can get is making him into a Pander with Unacceptable Appearance. > Don't ask "Why would you want to do such a thing?" > That's not the point. I'm just wondering if it's possible. As a person who takes every opportunity to exploit any loophole in the game for the most bizarre combos possible, competitive or otherise, I would never presume to question a man's motives in trying to do the impossible. That's what keeps the game fun after playing it for seven years. That said, I can't think of a single way to do it. This might be a question for LSJ.. There are ways of transferring equipment between minions, without the receiving minion taking an action. If another minion was somehow able to transfer a Writ of Acceptance onto Beast, would it affect him? Would its effect count as "Using" Equipment? Hmm.. side question, but somewhat related: Can an Ally carry a Writ of Acceptance, as a useless piece of equipment? The _vampire_ carrying it is considered a Camarilla vampire.. But does that mean that Allies can't hold onto it, even if it has no effect?

Would its effect count as "Using" > Equipment? Nope, won't work; "He [Beast] cannot have or use equipment or retainers." The only thing I thought might work is somehow transferring a Clan Impersonation onto Beast, since although Beast "cannot perform action-card actions," there is no restriction on having them on him if they can somehow be placed on him without Beast perfoming the action himself. Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to do this; even Succubus Club won't allow it (it transfers the ownership of the card to another Methuselah, but the card remains on the original minion): "Non-equipment, non-retainer, minion cards (like Ablative skin) can be traded, but will remain on the original minion. Control of the card changes. Mostly this results in: "no effect" (until the controller is ousted, of course). [LSJ 19980128] "). However, if a card emerged which could transfer minion cards such as CI, I think it would be legal for Beast to obtain a card in such a manner (at least with his current card text; I suspect he may be errata'd to remove this loophole if such a card was produced). - Rafe [ quoted text not captured ]
