Withering at first-strike, reprise.

Searching through the rulings shows me that, if Withering is played at THN with first strike (via Shadow Feint, say), the opposing minion still gets to play a discipline-based strike card. My question is about the inferior level: if Withering is played at thn at first strike, and the opposing minion makes a hand strike, is that strike at -1 strength, or not?
