[LSJ] Questions: Corrupt Construction, equipe, withdraw

A few questions came up during our latest local tournament. I thought I'd ask LSJ to validate our answers, all in one batch. Thanks in advance. 1. A vampire recruits a Corrupt Construction. The card text states that: "When the Construction enters play, you may remove from the game any number of ally, retainer, or vampire cards from your ash heap or hand. The Construction gains one life for each card removed in that way." When the player removes an ally or retainer from his or hand, does he or she replace the card immediately, or only at the end of the "When the Construction enters play" effect? If the former is correct, can he or she then use any allies/retainers drawn in this way to pump up the Construction further? 2. Can a player's minion take an equip action to equip with (an) equipment(s) possessed by one of the player's vampire in torpor? (Rulebook doesn't prevent it but I just wanted to confirm.) 3. Brinksmanship is in play. During his untap phase, player A declares an attempt to withdraw. During his minion phase, player A bleeds with a vampire and is blocked. Does the withdraw attempt fail immediately when the vampire enters combat (and thus, player A is ousted at that time)?

No, if it wasn't in hand when the card was played then it isn't a legal target. See Concealed Weapon. > 2. Yes, at +1 stealth. > 3. Brinksmanship is in play. During his untap phase, player A declares > an attempt to withdraw. No, withdrawl attempt are only made during the untap phase following a player both meeting the requirements to withdraw and announcing the withdrawl attempt. Comments Welcome, Norman S. Following the example of Angelica, The Canonicus, they all get replaced afterwards: <http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/f4470c 5506ed4c52> **** > Also, in the first instance does the controller replace the burnt > master card at once or only after the intercept has been determined. > (i.e. Can you go fishing in your deck for another master card after > you play the first) Only after. No. Card text of Brinksmanship: "On that Methuselah's next untap phase, if the withdrawal fails, that Methuselah is ousted." <http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/def409 ad52c1bb8e> **** > > 1° Question: Is B ousted suddenly when he/she loses/spends his first > > pool/blood or starts a combat involving his minions? > No. > The check if a withdrawal attempt was successful or not happens during > the next untap phase after the announcement of the attempt.
