Q: Jake Washington

I've asked this q before but nobody answered. I don't have the card so it might be that the answer is painfully obvious, but i'll ask it anyway. If Jake has been in play (as an ally) and is burned, does he remain an ally in the graveyard or a Master Card (or both)? Can be important with regards to Shambling horde What if he hasn't been in play, but was discarded? Jeroen
