Just to be sure : - Is a discarded card considered a burned card, and if so, can we compel it (e.g. an Ally card) ? - Is a blocked recruit action considered to have burnt the Ally card, and if so, can we compel it ? - Is a cost included in text cards ? e.g. : Must Dragos burn one blood to make his hand damage aggravated with a Chiroptean Marauder ? - Then, what is the *real* cost of a card if not only the blood drop on the side ? Thanks

No, you can't, since it was never controlled: "Only usable if a retainer or ally you control has been burned since your last turn." >- Is a blocked recruit action considered to have burnt the Ally card, and if >so, can we compel it ? As above. >- Is a cost included in text cards ? The cost of a card is the drop of blood on the side. >e.g. : Must Dragos burn one blood to >make his hand damage aggravated with a Chiroptean Marauder ? That's the cost to generate that effect, so isn't covered by Dragos' ability. He must pay it. As a memory aid, consider the real life parallel: Dragos can purchase a car for free. And the card: Fast car. $5000 The minion with this car can pay $X.XX to buy petrol. Getting the car for free doesn't make the petrol free also. Playing Chiropteran (which Dragos does for free) generates an effect which allows you to pay for *another* effect. That second payment isn't for playing a card. >- Then, what is the *real* cost of a card if not only the blood drop on the >side ? That is. A card could also theoretically word itself "Playing this card costs....." but such is not currently found in the set, AFAIK. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1F HEY, MOM! The discarded card is considered burned, yes. But cannot be compelled, as James says. > >- Is a blocked recruit action considered to have burnt the Ally card, and if > >so, can we compel it ? > > As above. Come effects have costs, but that isn't the same as the cost of a card. > >e.g. : Must Dragos burn one blood to > >make his hand damage aggravated with a Chiroptean Marauder ? > > That's the cost to generate that effect, so isn't covered by Dragos' > ability. See Venenation for a card that modifies its own cost. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
