Looking over this "rare" card... and I just don't get it.
It doesn't even have synergy with Sanguis cards (octopod does not
work).
Has anyone figured this card out? How to use it?

I haven't figured it out yet, but I think part of that is because I
only own like 1 or 2 and haven't been able to try it out much.
The best use I have figured out so far is to use it to protect your
weaker Blood Brothers since you can swap them out before the first
round of strikes happen (during the pre-range step). For instance, you
have to hunt with an empty Blood Brother and you get blocked. You could
play Free Fight and have your healthy Blood Brother with lots of blood
switch in, rather than get hit hands for 1 and go to torpor. If the
healthy Blood Brother has a gun or other equipment, all the better. Its
kinda like having a Rabbat waiting to Hidden Lurker after someone
blocks you without having to risk the bait minion getting beat up.
I have included the text of the card below for reference.

Free Fight
Card Text:
Only usable before range is determined.
[san] Tap this Blood Brother and any number of ready untapped members
you control of this circle. Once each round before range is determined,
or whenever your combatant leaves the ready region, you may choose one
of these ready Blood Brothers to become the combatant instead (and
combat continues).
[SAN] As above, and each of these Blood Brothers gets an optional press
this combat.
You know, you could just let 'em block the hunt, play signpost +
octopod for the empty vampire. Prevent the hands for 1 with brothers
blood ? And then come after the blocking minion with coordinated
attacks again :P
Combat version of Blood Brothers is still dangerous, even if they are
empty.

Thanks for putting in the text... Now I'm confused too. This is a
combat card; vampires in combat are almost always tapped, either
because they are acting (tapped to begin the action) or blocking
(tapped for the block). How are you supposed to tap the Blood Brother
who played the card, who must, presumably, be the one in combat? (Even
if it can be played by a vampire not in combat [and I see no text
allowing it to be played that way], the Blood Brother who is in combat
still needs to tap, right?) I see no way to play this card without
Majesty or Earth Meld _and_ Psyche! being involved.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Alex

Missing something. :)
Firstly, you can tap a tapped vampire. It just doesn't do much. Since
this card isn't tap TO do something, it's just tap AND do something, it
works fine when played by a tapped vampire.
Secondly, you might have been rushed by someone while untapped. :)
What I was to know is, does the BB who played the card count as
'one/each of these (ready) Blood Brothers'? ie: Can they 'tag' back in
later, and do they get an optional press this combat?
If so.....BB1 plays FF. Hands for one, or something, presses, and then
BB2, who has...an RPG launcher!..tags in before range in the second
round, BB1 plays Octopod for him, and then BB2 shoots the opposing
minion for 18 over three strikes or something.
Efficient? Unlikely. Way cool? Hell yeah!

Your question can be restated more clearly as: "is 'of these' referring to 'this
Brother and any number' or just 'any number'". The answer is: moot, it doesn't
matter.
If the former, then he is in the "of these".
If the latter, then, since he is a member of his circle, you are free to choose
him to be in the "any number" set. If you choose him, he will be in the "of these".

Octopod
Cost: 1 blood
Card Text:
Requires a ready Blood Brother of the same circle as another one in
combat. Can be used by a vampire even if he or she is not involved in
the combat.
[san] Only usable before range is chosen. The Blood Brother in combat
gets an additional strike each round this combat.
[SAN] As above, but with two additional strikes each round.
So, I was wondering this myself. You have one Brother in combat with
Arika (A with an Assault Rifle) and one untapped brother (B with a
Flamethrower). Brother A plays Free Fight at [SAN] before range is
chosen, choosing and tapping Brother B. Brother A maneuvers to long
and fires his Assault rifle at Arika, so she (with 10 blood) plays
Superior Mettle at [FOR], taking her down to 9 blood. Seeing that
she's down to 8 blood, Brother B plays Octopod at [SAN] so "the Blood
Brother in combat gets an additional strike each round this combat."
He plugs Arika for 4, twice with no more prevention leaving her at one
blood. Press to continue from Free Fight at [SAN], no response from
Arika. Next round, before range is chosen, Brother B is chosen as the
combatant. Now, Brother B is fuming at the mouth, along with the rest
of the table, with the prospect of burning Arika with his Flamethrower.
He fires and Arika burns a blood for Superior Mettle at [FOR] that was
played last round.
Does Brother B benefit from Octopod since he's now the "Blood Brother
in combat" and since the "Brother in combat gets an additional strike
each round of combat?" I can see this going both ways. I can see that
Octopod gives Brother A specifically additional strikes, but I would
think that from the wording, Octopod gives the "Blood Brother in
combat" additional strikes each round regardless of which Brother is
currently in combat. If so, Arika burns when Brother B gleefully
sprays her with hot Flamethrowery goodness while Brother B happily
takes pimp-slap damage for one.
If not, then yet another wallpaper rare.

No.

Correct.

... or both if a BB is in combat with a BB?
No. I can't see it being tenable in that reading at all.

Only if he's currently untapped; otherwise, he's not a legal pick for
that clause. Unless I'm missing something.

Ah. OK, so the answer isn't moot.
Yes, indeed, the "of these" refers to the whole group.
The same group that was the target of the "tap" in the preceding sentence.
