Hello! I was playing in the Crusade: Vienna Tournament on friday 11/07/1997 and used there my Succubus Club (the coolest card ever). My question is: When I get a tapped Vampire from another Methuselah (in my untap phase), does it untap so I can take an action with him, and vice versa does he untap when I give the vampire back to its original controller? In article <3466AB...@unet.univie.ac.at>, Racher <a950...@unet.univie.ac.at> writes [ quoted text not captured ] No. Can't be bothered to quote the rule but it goes like this. Untap phase: Untap everything you control THEN (After a bit) Other Untap Phase Effects Succubus Club is an other untap phase effect (done after, for instance, yielding contested cards). This is done after you get untap everything you control. So no, getting a tapped Sheldon, Lord of the Clog with a Succubus Club does not allow you to untap it (but you don't have to give it back and could just wait until next turn so you have him then to untap - might annoy the other player though). -- James Coupe (remove items of food to reply via e-mail) Dick: I lost your number.... Cards do not untap except when specified in the rules or on card text. The rules only specify two times: 1. At the beginning of the controller's untap phase. 2. When a card is returned to the controlled region from contesting. Since the Succubus Club doesn't say to untap, and the trade happens after (1) and cannot involve anything addressed by (2), the answer to both questions is: "no." -- L.
