Question 1.) Some one blocks, plays IotK during combat, an illusion dukes it out and then combat ends... can I then play fast reaction by another one of my blocking minions, or was that needed to be played directly after IotK? Question 2.) I shim over to another vampire after blocking... after that combat, the original 'blocking' vampire is capable of playing fast reaction, yes? ~SV

Neither. FR cannot be played after the IotK combat (either the blocker or the acting minion is absent) nor before (since IotK has set up an impending combat). > Question 2.) I shim over to another vampire after blocking... after > that combat, the original 'blocking' vampire is capable of playing > fast reaction, yes? Probably not, but I don't know what "shim" is. Is suspect it involves one of the new combatants being neither acting nor blocking however. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. The subject line is supposed to describe the body, not replace it. 2) "Shim" means something else in English. [ quoted text not captured ]

But being LSJ-ish, from now on, will mean being a stuck up prude. :P The question was, in "english" I, a methuselah, am not the acting methuselah. Some other player, who is not me, is acting. I attempt to block with a minion, who is a vampire, and has Auspex, at any given level. Now another minion, controlled by me, who is a vampire and who has Chimestry, lets say at the superior level, plays SHIMULO DECEPTION, and now is the blocking mininion. After this combat, can the original vampire play Fast Reaction? ~SV

OK. It's your thread. :-) > The question was, in "english" > > I, a methuselah, am not the acting methuselah. Some other player, who > is not me, is acting. Two r's. Not English, though, AFAIK, so you're off the hook there. "let's" has an apostrophe in English, though. :-) > the superior level, plays SHIMULO DECEPTION, and now is the blocking That's Shilmulo Deception, BTW. "Shilm", not "Shim". Perhaps adding to my previous confusion. :-) > mininion. After this combat, can the original vampire play Fast > Reaction? Per card text, yes. Fast Reaction can be played "after a combat between a blocking minion you control other than this vampire and the acting minion." The vampire who is not this vampire is a blocking minion you control and has just completed combat with the acting minion. [ quoted text not captured ]

"I shimmy over to another vampire after blocking" =P Halcyan 2
