Last Stand Unique Master, 6 (!) pool: Put this card in play. When any other Methuselah is ousted, the current turn ends, and this card is burned. The predator of the ousted Methuselah (if more than one was ousted, go clockwise from the left of the Methuselah whose turn just ended) takes the next turn. This is just to ask what this card is supposed to do? Costing 6 pool I'd imagine something worth the effort. Multiple reading still left me under the impression it's crap. Who'd spend 6 pool to give a meth (if you're lucky it's you) an extra turn? Did I miss something? I dont think I'd include it in a deck if it would cost half the pool. Cheers, Alf

Who'd spend 6 pool to give a meth (if you're lucky > it's you) an extra turn? So you can tap out and take down your prey.. and then have a full turn to go at your new prey. It makes Stealth Bleed even more dangerous, as if it needed it... Or you can use that extra turn to "become a wall", and be all untapped and defensive for your predator to come at you. The cost of 6 is just a pre-emptive "you won't gain 6 from your next oust", sort of. You really shouldn't play this card except on the Master Phase of the turn that you think you'll oust your prey.

Here's the concept... I'm could take out my prey if I tapped out... But would leave myself vunerable, or I could take out my grand prey if I had another turn as well... If you had 7+ pool... Untap, master phase... Last Stand!!!! 1+ pool Tap all out and take out my prey, and BAM... 6 pool and my turn again... Plus the edge pool... =D now you can defend or go after your new prey... =D I think any stealth bleed deck would like this card... =D It's a crajee card, I like it... tree.beard.D...@gmx.de (masika) wrote in message news:<a6002730.03111...@posting.google.com>... Last Stand can also be potentially very useful in a timed tournament environment; getting to take two turns in a row can allow a game win, when other people were counting on getting an extra turn. I highly praise this card because it opens up a new gameplay mechanic that never existed before in this game; it's high risk, high reward. Also note that when someone gets ousted, the current turn ends immediately (so no finishing your minion phase, influence, or discard.) I imagine interesting decisions when that card is in play, I have 3 minions, and my prey is all tapped out with 1 pool. Do I hunt twice, and then bleed? Or do I bleed first, and then end up wasting the actions of the other two minions? This card generates interesting gameplay, and thus I praise it. It's really hard for me to know if it's balanced; it actually seems a little too expensive. Or maybe just that the minion phase should end immediately, but still allow influence and/or discard. *shrug* I didn't playtest it so I don't know - I'll put my faith in the playtesters, and try this out when I get the chance. Bravo to the designer, Ira

(caught very much off guard with this one...) Ira means 'when someone gets ousted, and Last Stand is in play, the current turn ends immediately' - read the Last Stand card text: "Put this card in play. When any other Methuselah is ousted, the current turn ends, and this card is burned. The predator of the ousted Methuselah (if more than one was ousted, go clockwise from the left of the Methuselah whose turn just ended) takes the next turn."
