What is the current ruling on diablerizing outside of the acting vampire's sect? For instance, If a Sabbat vampire has just diablerized a Camarilla vampire, do Camarilla vampires get to participate in the ensuing bloodhunt/wildhunt vote? Do all methuselahs have the opportunity to call the bloodhunt/wildhunt in this case?

[ quoted text not captured ] As per the latest ruling, which is doomed to be overturned as soon as it is inspected by any member of the rules team: It doesn't matter what the sect of the diabolist is, nor what the sect of the victim was. Any Methuselah controlling a ready Sabbat vampire may call a Wild Hunt, and any Methuselah controlling a ready Camarilla vampire may call a Blood Hunt. All Methuselahs may vote, using votes from their titled vampires, burned PAs, the Edge, etc. as usual. --- This will be (?) overturned and replaced with something akin to the following: Wild Hunt and Blood Hunt are the same thing, and are handled in exactly the same way. All Methuselahs may vote, using votes from their titled vampires, burned PAs, the Edge, etc. as usual. In general, a Wild Hunt is called if the diabolist is Sabbat, otherwsie a Blood Hunt is called - but it doesn't matter either way; it's the same thing. -- L. Keep in mind the ruling I got from WotC and posted here about a month ago. It doesn't adress who can call a Blood or Wild Hunt. But it does relate to cards mentioning them. It would imply that the terms are interchangable at all times, but it doesn't actually say so. Also, it assumes it wasn't over-ruled while I wasn't listening. -------------------------------------------------------- Subj: Re:V:TES Blood/Wild Hunt Date: 97-01-10 12:50:53 EST From: WotC I just spoke with our rep to the V:TES team, and he told me that when the team decided that "Wild Hunt" would sound really cool for The Sabbat, they didn't realize that it wouldn't really work with existing "Blood Hunt" cards. So ignore my previous ruling: Any card that refers to a Blood Hunt in its text can have the words "Wild Hunt" substituted for "Blood Hunt." JD Wiker Customer Service Wizards of the Coast

Therefore, "yes" to your two questions. -spongy

All votes are applicable, whether from camarilla titles, sabbat titles, or inherent abilities. It has been decided that the two types of hunt are the same for game purposes.
