I have a question concerning Rotscheck... I was about to enter combat with my prey... My prey maneuvered with his saturday night special (gun)I counter maneuvered with a card and dropped Immortal Grapple on the table once the range had been set to close. He then played"dragon breath" (adds aggravate to gun's damage) and played Rotschreck claimming I had to go to torpor because he had attempted to do aggravate... I know that because he had maneuvered with the gun he had to use it, and that he lost his strike due to my Immortal Grapple... How can he play dragon's breath on a non existing strike? and then Rotscheck?? Please let me know it drove me mad that night... (and he to torpor soon after...;)) Hugues Bertrand -- Hugues Bertrand Prince of Montreal www.geocities.com/princedemontreal princede...@yahoo.com Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

He can't. You can't play Rotschreck when you have no ability to attempt to use aggravated damage, which was the case (he had no strike). In fact, he couldn't even legally play Dragonsbreath Rounds: 1) it's only playable before resolving a gun's strike. 2) before declaring strikes, there is no gun strike to resolve, so it's not legal to play Dragonsbreath Rounds. 3) by the time he had the chance to declare strikes, he was locked into an illegal strike (gun used to maneuver+immortal grapple), so couldn't strike. At no point in the combat was DBR legal to play. So no aggravated. So no Rotschreck. Works the same for Flamethrower under Immortal Grapple -- he's never allowed to declare the agg strike, so there's never the opportunity to use Rotschreck. gomi -- i haul the burden for the high and mighty but i'm the top hat devil's son i've got the luck of the drunk, try an' nail me i'm the bullseye - aim your gun
